My shredder just made extremely long strips of the toilet paper... I guess I have confetti for my next 10 birthdays at least! 🤣

🤣 Mine make little clumps, very very easy to loosen though.

Good idea with the shredder. When I make it, I just tend to chuck half a loo roll in a jug of hot water, leave 10 minutes to soak, then purée it with a £5 Asda hand blender. I mix up the plaster and add the still damp toilet roll and it works great. Saves waiting around for the loo roll to dry and ensures it is damp enough to start with. I add some brown paint or mortar colourant too, having it pre-coloured means you don’t need as much paint in later stages and it’s less noticeable if it gets damaged/chipped by any clumsy players.

I tried that method to but it took far too long to dry & I can be very impatient.

That's possible. If you wanted to make this version even stronger you could add some PVA/Mod Podge but it would increase the drying time significantly.

Toilet paper is actually a pretty bad fibrous filler, and not the easiest one to shape. Regular printer paper or egg cartons work better.

I've tried both of those. Bog roll is by far the most absorbent, which for me makes it easier to work with.
