Just installed my Gen 2 road noise kit and checked the decibels. Before install at 74mph the reading was 65.9 dB, and doing the same loop and speed later I got 54.9-a huge 11 dB spread. My wife and I can chat much more easily on the freeway now. Road noise is barely discernible. Very noticeable improvement even on city streets in the 35-50mph range. Very happy we got this. Only issue is that the rear trunk lid is quite hard to close; we’re hoping the rubber settles into a compressed state.

Why are you covering up the water drain hole on the door?

To anyone watching this . . . Orangeman54 is asking the correct question. Do NOT cover the weep/drain holes in the doors! Water enters the doors from the window area. Cover the holes, the water stays. Instant rust!

I just installed these, not because of noise (maybe it will help, maybe not) but to reduce the amount of dirt and dust that gets into the frames of the doors, trunk, and frunk. I thought of it when I noticed my wife's new Honda Accord Sport Hybrid has similar rubber strips in some parts of its door frame.

The inner top bolt on the top right door hinge is not fully tightened down on this car. You can see it clearly at the 10:58 mark. #withinspec

Just installed the kit myself, as far as drainage holes, you can just trim the back part of the seal in those areas allowing water to leave as necessary.

The B pillar was installed upside down, water will get into it the way it is shown here.

Are these rubber seals going to come or un-stick in hot climates like we have in Australia

Does this customer have premium audio? I thought the opening piece in the trunk is for the subwoofer bass yet this customer added sound dampener?

I did readings immediately before and after installing, driving the same 3 miles on the freeway at 74mph. First run was 65.9 dB max; second run was 54.9 dB max. I was very pleased with the 11 dB drop. Conversation while driving is now so much easier, and I don’t have to twist the radio volume as high.

Every decibel counts. Nice almost 20% less noise.

You might to consider a warning that anyone that has the trunk lift kit ( struts with springs) cannot really use the trunk seals. It becomes way, way too hard to slam the lid down and latch. I ended up having to remove the trunk seals because of this.
