I ended up ordering a '24 Model Y Long Range, stealth grey, partial white interior for $41.5K. Well under the price of the Model 3 refresh Long Range since it doesn't qualify for the $7500 tax credit. Should be delivered next week. I got a 2023 MX in Nov 2023 and I have gotten used to no stocks except for the wipers… I end up using the mic and saying wipers on low or something. Seems odd to me that they couldn’t have made the wipers a capacitive button. Oh well, over all i’m happy coming from a 2018 MX as the new one is smoother riding, much quieter and no paint nibs on the hood! Fit and finish was excellent except for a trim piece on the inside of drivers door.

Tesla definitely should try to offer the Stalks as an option based on the number of complaints I have heard. I certainly prefer the buttons. I change between left hand and right hand drive travelling in different Countries/Jurisdictions and I am always hitting the wrong stalk and messing things up so the buttons get rid of that issue. I kind of think the world of driving is changing and will be changing over the coming decade. Not sure what will happen so I am just watching and going along for the ride.

Does the Model 3 refresh have a splitter camera (camera low on the front fascia)? I have driven other cars with a low front camera and makes parking, and hopefully not curbing it, so much easier. Brendan--drove a Highland and a 2024 model y rwd at the maplewood, mn dealership this weekend. The highland isn't worth the upgrade imo, but we did like the rear screen, smoother ride. One other thing i noticed (rwd model) was motor noise (loud whine) when you floored it (something i don't notice in my rwd LFP 2023 model 3). The rwd model y was nice (1st time driving a model y). Annoying. But, you didn't review the driving much? Man, the improved suspension/quiet ride is NICE though! Hope they can get the same in Model Y next year... that improved comfort ride is 80% of the reason to get a Highland 3 instead. 8:48 - Wait, that is true? If so, can you link where the IRS issued that guidance? That seems insane to me that if a person doesn't make enough money to have a $7.5k federal tax liability, then the IRS will still give them the $7.5k POS discount and not go after that person when they file taxes the subsequent year. IMO, that seems kinda sad because a person who can clearly afford the car (passes income limit threshold) will get penalized for trying to claim the POS discount while a person who prob can't afford the car at all (doesn't have $7.5k federal tax liability) can just freely take advantage of the discount. The income limit restriction definitely hurts single people so much whereas married couples shouldn't have any issue.

Did you get used to flat screen televisions? Did you get used to having Wifi as apposed to plugging in a network cable? Did you get used to using wireless headphones? Did you get used to digital cameras? In my opinion I would be complaining about things in a car NOT working. I wouldn't be complaining about things simply being different from what I'm used to. Otherwise just stay in your old car if you prefer being familiar with something rather than adjusting to an improved product. I'm commenting because you suggested I do so.
