If you haven't already, check the pinned comment of Part 1. It contains some advice which I'd recommend following. You'll still have to install and configure the ENB as shown in the video, but the rest can be installed through Mod Organizer 2. kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZqB0bWaoNXViaw.html

Hope you're considering a part three, these videos have been seriously helpful.
You've literally created the most comprehensive and easy to follow mod tutorial I've ever seen. Thanks for this!!
Not gonna name names, but there's another video on youtube that is supposed to show you how to update Oblivion for modern PCs but it was so confusing and poorly presented I almost decided not to bother with using mods. I'm so thankful I found your videos. Great work!

How lucky that you JUST posted this video as I'm finally gonna play Oblivion for the first time. Great vid dude, very very useful
My Favorite Mods List: (Many of these drastically change/diverge from the vanilla experience!) 1. Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (O.O.O.) - Biggest Gameplay Rebalancing Mod. Changes too much to list here. 2. Martigen's Monster Mod (M.M.M.) - New Creatures, varying sizes and aggressions, much more. 3. Harvest Flora & Harvest Containers - Makes plants appear picked and containers appear open + can close again. 4. C.S.R. - Companion Share Recruit - Gather a party of NPC's you can equip w/gear & adventure with + much more! 5. Unique Landscapes Compilation - Turn a dozen + boring vanilla areas into unique, hand-crafted areas. 6. Better Cities - Same as Unique Landscapes, but for all major towns/cities. Complete redesigns. 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 - Weather-All Natural; Immersive Interiors; Animated Window Lighting System. Use all 3 w/Wrye Bash. 8. See No Evil - Guards do not automatically come running, but needs close proximity to respond quickly. 9. Alternative Start/ Arrive by Ship - Pick starting job, starting city, more. Allows radically different starting points. 10. Deadly Reflex - Combat Overhaul that allows combos, decapitations, more. Overall more complex combat options. 11. Midas Magic - Adds nearly 300 new magic spells into the game. Many unique animations and effects. 12. Dynamic Map - Adds a colored map that specifies terrain and even shows newly added towns/structures positions. 13. Alive Waters - Turns boring underwater areas of Oblivion into fleshed out eco-systems with loot/treasure/more! 14. Book Jackets - Makes the books look much more appealing and titles are now clearly legible from a distance. 15. Sounds of Cyrodiil - Adds hundreds of new sound effects and trigger zones. May not work with #5 and #6 tho. 16. Natural Environments - Improves nature, weather lighting, water and more. May conflict with #7 and #13 above. 17. Keychain - Stores all of your collected keys together in one convenient location. 18. Kvatch Rebuilt - Allows you to rebuild the city of Kvatch beyond it's former glory upon completion of main quest. 19. Really AEVWD - Allows increased draw distance with upgraded textures to make views more spectacular. 20. Unofficial Oblivion Patch - Many, many bug fixes to improve the overall experience.
Dude you are a legend, I was leveling oblivion half a year ago with some different methods and had a huge pause, after coming back your videos really helped me to get the hang of it and I think your ways are eve easier than what I used!
This has been the most helpful review I've ever seen. Thanks a million!

No problem! Glad to know I could help!
just finished fully modding the game! u are goated my friend! thank u!
Please make more content! You are seriously the first person who actually goes into ACTUAL detail ! Thank you so much. I played this game growing up and its so much better with mods! Thank you again for the awesome content and information!
for the first time since i first played this game in 08 im finally able to mod it thanks to you. Looks like it never has before. Such a perfect guide.
Dude thank you soo much for these 2 videos, the only actual videos on youtube explaining everything about modding step by step everything works perfectly, hope you make a part 3 video soon you are the Goat Man :)
Damn, that was some smooth sailing. Followed everything as you did in your video, fired up Oblivion and it works like a charm. Thanks a lot!
Thanks again for the 2nd part. Absolutely amazing work. I did not pmlz rediscover Oblivion again but with all the mods it feels like a whole new game.
loved being able to play a game for over a decade and now having it feel like a new game! appreciate tutorials like this!
thank you so much for these amazing guides! haven't played oblivion since the 360 era and wanted to dive back in all these years later but with some added improvements and flair! you made modding the game a breeze!! take care!
I followed all your steps and it worked great! I've never modded this game that fast, you saved me a great amount of time! Thank you so much!
This is EXTREMELY well-made. Curated amazingly, too. I was so sick of the HOW TO MAKE OBLIVION LOOK LIKE IT WAS MADE IN 2050 type of videos KZread's been shoving down my throat. They all have irritating narrations and feature redundant mods. This, however, is fantastic. We need more tutorials like this here. Thank you for this.

Wow you really came in clutch with this one. I had zero problems just making sure to follow your instructions step by step, now I almost feel like I know what I'm doing! Hope to see you post more!!!!
Thanks a lot for this. It was by far the easiest video to follow and really helped me get my foot in the door with modding. Also, disabling depth of field is a must with ENB in my opinion or else you will end up feeling like you are in a blurry tunnel and doesn't really jive with 3rd person well either.
This has been the most helpful and useful tutorial on youtube. Thanks
Thank you so much. Just got this game, tried it myself and couldn't manage it. You helped so much. Got a new subscription
Thank you so much for your walkthrough videos with Oblivion modding. I have had so much trouble modding this bloody game for some reason, something I find weird when I have had no issues with Skyrim and New Vegas. This has been super helpful.

this game is older, and doesnt have a modding api baked in the game already
@djwoody1649

@@about_average8808 Well the plugin system does seem to be a good enough means of integrating additional content - thereby enabling mods. I don't know what API is but I am guessing it is some sort of helpful support for modding? If the older games didn't really have it, I am surprised by that as Morrowind came with the construction set on disk.
You have well and truly earned the subscription mate. Bloody good work Zam.
Subscribed, great video well explained as well as the mods you chose. My oblivion experience is even better.
I'd love for a part 3 from you. you made my game play so much better.

Straight to the point, excellent video.

zero problems following your videos good job and thank you!
Great videos, Thanks for putting this all together
These videos are a god sendt for someone who is confused about modding oblivion, thank you!
I gotta say, from a beginners perspective this video was INCREDIBLE. I’m new PC let alone modding….and this video turned my Oblivion into something amazing. Finally I can enjoy the beer nostalgia of my life…re-immersed in an entire new game. Thank you brother, you’re goat 🙏

I'm thinking of getting a gaming laptop to play games like oblivion, Skyrim and fallout 3 with mods and I'm a little confused by it all since I've always been a console player, is it easier than it sounds for a newbie?

@@ZK-56 honestly yeah. This was my first attempt to mod a game and it went incredibly well with this video tutorial. Follow his video and you’ll be fine! Also sorry taking over a year to reply 😂😂🙏
Thanks for the tutorial man! It's super helpfull! Sometimes you just go a little bit too fast on the menus for the installation process, I had to pause and skip frame by frame to see if everything was the same while I was installing mine. Also, I just wanna let you know that "Realistic Leveling" mod should be installed using OBMM and not "Wrye Bash" like you said. When I started the game it showed a message about how the ".ini" file wasn't loading correctly, so I had to look in the Nexus Page comments to see if anybody else had the same issue.
this guide was so easy to follow, thanks so much
You Sir are a saint. Thank you so much for this Video.
Thank you for uploading this.
Such a great Channel...would love to see u grow up! Tip : You could also mention ur Rig to let people understand the basic component requirements!
I wasn't going to bother. I modded oblivion sooo much back in 2006-2008 and had it all in my head, but after ages of warcraft and then skyrim and the easy modding via nmm/vortex, I never thought I could go back to all this mess....but I think you proved me wrong, so I'll give it a go again with your videos as an aide. I've missed Oblivion.
def the best modding series for oblivion in 2022
Great job with this mate. Thank's a lot. I've never played Oblivion or Skyrim, so I'd love to see you make one of these for Skyrim aswell so when I'm finished with Oblivion I can continue on using your tutorials and recommendations.
@NorsePaganFrost
3 жыл бұрын
Modding skyrim is much easier imo. Download Vortex (a somewhat universal mod manager, cant use with oblivion though) from nexusmods, and look up Gopher's modding guides. Most mods are easily installed in a few button clicks, and vortex automatically sorts your load order each time a new mod is installed. The most challenging mods (like character reskins and physics) are only as hard as finding out which mods are installed first.

Thank you so much for these videos
For anyone who downloaded the mods then got crashes and reinstalled with no mods but the game still crashes firstly I believe it's one of if not all patches causing these crashes, secondly uninstall then file explorer>documents>games and delete the oblivion folder then reinstall.

I play wizard101 haha, didn't expect to hear wizard101 in an oblivion tutorial video
thx for the tutorial man! I haven't modded in years so this was very helpful.
Thank you so much
One issue I had was getting Cyrodiil ENB to work. You have to enable HDR and disable anti-aliasing for it to work. Otherwise, you'll see the default textures. I also had a lot of stuttering. Oblivion Stutter Remover made it much better but I had to set the framerate in it's config file to 0 to get unlimited frames. Now the only issue I am having is rare intermittent crashes when I open a door.

Thanks for this great video. Makes me want to play Oblivion again. Just one question. The unofficial patched need the official patch apparently (or so says Nexus when downloading the UOP). I don't hear you mentioning that. Any reason why?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Reminder: 1.DO Run BOSS after installing certain mods 2. DO Run the game with obse_loader Problems: 1. if you drag and drop your mod on wrye bash and it dosen't appear on the list then use files and go to the installer folder of bash then put your mod there and restart wrye bash that should do it 2. do not run wrye bash as admin 3. the texture and realistic leveling mod is a obmm mod 4. if you experience crash then remove the oblivion.ini from documents/my games/oblivion/saves 5. if you do get "enable installer" option after first installing wrye bash and then got to installers tab it dosent show up? then left click on package and tick on the enable option that should do it oh just in cause click full refresh after that I found all of these solutions on research for my own self but I got it working so just in cause anyone having problems can check this up :)

BEST tutorial!!!

nice vid
Heyyyy! I tried your guide and it worked wonderfully for a beginner like me and I wanted to ask you if you could make a guide for skyrim too, pleasee!!!
For the ENB I had some issue with some D3D, to fix it I downloaded the last version of DirectX End-User Runtime from the Microsoft official site.
thank you so much
The default difficulty of Maskar's (Advanced) IS NOT OKAY. I got clownfish venom to kill an imperial guard (100 points of poison damage lv 1 is insane), took his heavy imperial armor and fine bow, then went to fight the first bandit archer in the game (by the magika well straight across from the sewers exit), and he would consistently outgun me with his fur armor and shoddy bow. And I was taking care not to aggro his dog. Also, the goblin shaman at the tutorial killed me. Which is also ridiculous.
Love the mods man, been using them a lot. IDK if its ENB Series but my game constantly crashes at random times now :/ Any suggestions?
Gracias amigo
i got a lot of work to do once im back online "whew" dam thank you for the following steps.
I'm so lost, do I use MO2 to install these mods or do I need to manually install them through Wrye as you do in the video? I understand these videos were made before MO2, but in your first video you said as long as you had MO2, you didn't need any of the other three listed programs (except Wrye) I'm completely lost on if I'm doing this right, I want to learn to mod correctly but everyone does it differently.
The best instruction!!! UOP Patch of the link in the description looks different from QTP3 OUP32 Patch in your instruction video. Your link to UOP patch for Qarl's Texture looks simply overall UOP. Can you help to clarify?
Hey bro appreciate this video so much. Everything helped a lot and made it really easy to understand even installing the Realistic leveling mod From the steps you posted in the comments. The only problem I’m having is with my new texture mod on wrye bash. It installs but doesn’t show up in the location where it shows my other mods. When I load into my game it doesn’t seem to be any different. Any help would be appreciated but I understand your probably very busy.
@zamboringaming2716

If you mean it doesn't show up as a tickable option on your modlist, that's normal. Files like texture packs don't need to make any actual edits to the games code, and simply replace texture files.

Great helpful video, although 2 questions: Blockhead appears to be a OBSE plugin and does not want to install with wryebash. Improved flora 2 says I also need IF1 on its nexus page. But I can't find it (link broken). I'm assuming 2 will work without it? 3rd Bonus question: Any more mods you can rec that make the characters look better?
@jagobc9693

I also could have used about five more minutes with the ENB install. I had to replay that section several times. Lots of new info dumped in a short period without a lot of explanation (such as the whole ENB Series files). And the link for the ENB series sends you to a page that wants to add something called "Searches Central" before allowing the download if you click on the most obvious link (the actual download link is the dark icon). These things should be addressed in the vid as they are all steps not included in loading any previous mod.
I can't move the patch files into wrye bash, doesn't work for me. FIX: Don't start wrye bash as admin. If you do, drag&drop will not work. But if it still didn't work. Just copy your Mods to ...\Oblivion Mods\Bash Installers. This is the Installer Folder of Wrye Bash.

Hi :) thanks a lot for your great job !! I have a question : I really like the original Cyrodill ENB, I found the game more realistic and wonderfull than with the brighter ENB. But with the original/darker Cyrodill ENB, there is a distant blur which is not in the brighter version. Is it possible to remove the distant blur and if yes do you know how to do it?
@zamboringaming2716

Might be the depth of field effect. Untick that in the ENB menu (accessed with shift+enter) then click save configuration.
For the improved trees and flora mod do we need to install both 1 and 2 and all the updates?
