Thanks a lot, haven't played these games since forever (2010 - 2012ish), I remember having a lot of fun with all these mods, now since the games are on steam I'm going to try all of them again and having a convenient mod manager is a godsent gift

This was good to watch i was always interested to play the mods but since i have a lack of knowledge when it comes to computers as a whole (cause i am only interested in the gaming aspect) and that i suffer from paranoia due to being hacked and given viruses in the past and am overly careful with everything i own i was too scared to do anything without someone watching me who clearly knows what they are doing (i also have a thing where i HAVE to be 100% sure even if i am 99.99% sure i still won't do it because ''what if something happens? it does not matter if its a 0.01% chance its STILL not 0%!'') so watching this has been very pleasant to watch so i can see what happens step by step and gives me more peace of mind

Glad it was helpful. A lot of people will be in the same boat as yourself in terms of not having experience with doing lots of fiddling with files etc. And on your other point I know how you feel, I mean rarely are things in life 100%, just got to manage it how you can :)

Hello, so I am stuck at the installation of the Genpatcher, it is saying I need a Powershell version 5.0, however, when I followed the instructions, I couldn't find the right version or file that I need

I never came across this issue it just installed fine for me on Windows 10, you would have to approach the Gen Patcher team for technical support, I assume there is some way to contact them on their website?

Thanks for the superb tutorial! I've been searching everywhere for a mod launcher installation guide for Command and conquer: Kane's wrath but haven't really found any. Do you have any tips, maybe another tutorial if you have the time? Very much appreciated

Glad out found it helpful. Regarding Kane's Wrath, no idea I am afraid. Quick google search suggested WrathEd Mod Launcher? Not familiar with it but there seems to be stuff on steam forums about it. Just pop that name in google with steam I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

Yes exactly, but it seems outdated at the moment. There's also a mod launcher called command post and it's difficult to find any relevant information or quality guides on any of them, which sites to trust, if it's still updating etc. I'll continue searching, thanks anyway.

Hello, I want to install a mod that is not included in the mod list of GenLauncher, I press " Add mod from a file " at right top then select the rar file of the mod that I downloaded but it didn't install, there is just a text that says " user added mod " with generals zero hour cover image, how I can I add other mods from moddb website and install them. The name of the mod that I want to install is Destructive Forces

Afraid I have never tried to get that working. Having had a quick glance at the moddb page its not been updated since 2012 so at this stage I would assume its incompatible with the new versions of Generals. Also reading the comments on that page people were posting the last two years sounds like its not been working. Always worth reading the moddb comments. Its the advantage of the launcher that the ones included in the list are likely to be fully working, adding anything else externally won't be a guarantee.

i try to run genpatcher 2.07e fatal error something or someone has just deleted a file that is needed for genpatcher to run properly this is probably because of anti virus software interference please make sure yourve fully disabled your anti virus then download genpatcher again the file that got deleted was 7za.exe error code e106 what should i do ??

I don't make the patcher I am afraid so I can't give technical support really. It sounds like something on your system is possibly deleting one of the files? As it says maybe antivirus? Obviously any action you take their would be at your own risk. You would need to be disabling the antivirus OR ideally adding file exceptions (usually you SHOULD get a pop up from the antivirus saying its deleted it and giving you a choice of what to do). Refer to support/manual of the antivirus for how to do the above actions, I suggest a google search in first instance. Again all of this would be at your own risk. Part of modding is sadly since these are unofficial programmes they don't have the usual certificates and also some are "injectors" and thus behave in unusual ways and Antivirus software does not like that.

everytime i run the genpatcher it applies it to a onedrive i dont want it to, i want the .exe to be in another location. any ideas?

Afraid not, I don't use onedrive myself. My only thought would be could you disable one drive/logout of it for a short while so it simply can't access it? If its not there then it can't use/access that...

@@Bandanner After digging around the internet I found the solution, it was to go into a random folder into my Windows REGEDIT files! Some hero from 7 years ago posted a thread on reddit.

dose it work on none steam cuz i had game years ago from a friend

I assume it works on the EA Store/Origin version too as it was made before the steam release, not sure if it works on the old disk installs, I would imagine probably? But you would just have to give it a go and see.

According to the website for the mod installer yes but not sure if the steps are identical I don't have the EA version.
