thanks for watching dude, I have had the disc version of the game for a long time, but I think there is no difference with the Steam version. Put the maps you download into a file with the same name as your map ( if you download maps in zip file just unzip them don't change the name ) and copy it in the document folder of the general version of zero hour or the other version (because they are different). If the file is correct and you followed the steps correctly, it will work. this site has so much maps for both generals : www.cnclabs.com/maps/

if you get the map from cnclabs, there are some maps that has two different version. one version for command & conquer generals and the other one for generals zero hour. the non zero hour version is not working with zero hour factions. you must download the zero hour version to work well www.cnclabs.com/downloads/details.aspx?id=2943
