@Eric Burkheimer Every country (that I know of) has a proportion of non-navtive comedians. They are seldom actually funny. A few "I am different from you" puns is the best you can hope for. In most panel shows it will trigger others to make jokes about these difference too. Seldom above the obvious stereotype references. Henning Wehn, for example, always gets WW2 jabs. And if he doesn't, he will make some himself.

How painfully relevant 5:23 still is years later, when Boris was ousted out by MPs over his own incompetence, and then is rumoured to be back in the running for PM after 2 months cause Truss fell off the edge of sanity…

@@littlesunshine9218 I'm extra late, but to explain, there was a popular children's show in the UK called Chucklevision. The focus of the show was the silly antics of two bumbling brothers, Paul and Barry. The show ran for 22 years. The show had multiple catchphrases, some of which were bounced between the brothers every episode, the most well known being what they chanted whenever they were carrying anything. "To me!" - "To you!" - "To me!" - "To you!" - etc. In August 2018, shortly before this episode, one of the brothers died, leaving the remaining brother utterly distraught. Hence the response to the joke.

Chucklevision went from 1987 to 2009 in the UK - so several generations (including myself) grew up watching the Chuckle Brothers - To me, To you was the most famous of their catch phrases. It's a funny joke, it just cuts deep into my childhood.

Ed said “To me.” rather than “Timmie.” It’s a joke from a television duo and the used to say “to me,” then the other would say, “to you.” but because one of them had recently died that’s what caused the audience reaction.
