MOBIUS FINALLY GOT HIS JET SKI!! Loki 2x5 Reaction and Commentary “Science/Fiction"
After the insane ending last week, we start off the episode with Loki completely alone at the TVA. He is time-slipping between different branches where his friends don't remember him and are living their lives. Casey is a prisoner on Alcatraz, Hunter B-15 is a doctor, MOBIUS IS A JET SKI SALESMAN AHHH (I mean Don), and O.B. is a best-selling author (no one can say otherwise).
THE SEASON 2 FINALE IS NEXT WEEK!! (HOW IS IT ALMOST HERE ALREADY??)

I LOVE the way they play with time loops and cause/effects paradox in this season. It’s crazy. Like, Loki being in a tiny time loop so he could see himself picking up a TVA handbook, making him curious to go pick up that handbook, only for it to be useful later when he met variant OB… PERFECT. Also, except B-15, from what we saw, the core gang were *kinda* better off in the TVA. (B-15 being a wholesome doctor was so perfect…) But gosh I loved “Fiction” obsessed OB.

What if all those branched timelines dissolving *isn't* a function of the loom exploding but of the TVA's failsafe? If they were going to dissolve as a result of the loom exploding, they just wouldn't have been there. Everyone was seemingly returned to their own timelines which, apparently, had been recreated and only *later* did the timelines get deleted.

Mobius almost certainly lost his wife to Thanos' snap. If not, then it's likely the snap traumatized her so much that she bailed on her own family. All Mobius says in this episode is that she's "long gone." 2022 would've been almost a full year before the events of Endgame, and everyone's return. So the world Mobius lives in is the world of the snap after 4 years of adjustment. Its why his business doesn't seem to be too great (but probably still enough), why his neighborhood seems to empty, and why his kids are seemingly so out of control.

For those who didn't notice, everyone got sent back to "where they belong" right? Loki didn't get sent anywhere! In fact he only got sent to where everyone else was in a rotational loop.. so I think what it's telling us is thst loki belongs where he is AT THE TVA! il take it a step further n guess that everything that was happening to loki was happening because it's what is SUPPOSE to happen..loki is supposed to gather the crew back together, and he is suppose to be doing everything we saw in this episode!! I also take it as loki and his last destination and destiny will be the TVA! the TVA is now lokis home, his responsibility ect which is one of the main reasons he didn't go anywhere like everyone else n remained at the TVA even after the loom exploded! It's also why they gave us that forshadowing scene where loki asks sylvie at the bar "then where do I belong??" it's forshadowing that lokis end destination and his new "home" when it's all said n done will be the TVA..maybe as it's overseer, maybe as it's protector ect either way it's his new asgard, it's where all his freinds and dare I say chosen family is! It also gives loki the one thing he has always wanted which is to be a "king" of sorts, the guy thst everyone looks to for answers and guidance. Except now it comes in the form of somethimg good and something thst is helping humanity rather than destroying, enslaving ect..he gets his cake and he cam eat it as well.

The spaghetti effects are cool...but...not quite right. Spaghettification doesn't mean like...noodle-sized, when they're talking about black holes and such. What it means, is that tidal forces will stretch the particles of your body into an atom-thin string. Invisibly thin. Like...the kind of thin where even down in the quantum realm, you'd probably still be thinner than a spaghetti noodle. That doesn't work for visual media, though. But, I'd still have liked to see it be more like very thin human hair, than Bucatini. I suppose it could be chalked up to the individual strands being packed together to LOOK thicker than they really are, or maybe some distortion of perception because of everything going on. But, oh well. Still a great show, great episode, and a wild watch.

Well “traditional” spaghettification assumes that a black hole acts as a single point of attraction to an outside observer. The dissolution here is set up more like multiple points spread across space time working of a given target all at once.

I guess either Loki is going to become a hero or the best villain of MCU in the finale.

With Loki's apparent newfound role in the multiverse...I'd like Anthony Hopkins to come back one last time as Odin, to tell Loki how proud he is. Since Loki can pretty much go anywhere, anywhen, just have him go to Valhalla to see everybody. Just for that one opportunity for his parents to see what he's finally become, and so he can get the sincere praise he's more than earned. Even just an end-credits scene would be enough. Just some external acknowledgement. Or maybe visit Thor and his adopted niece. Something...

Actually the indication from this episode is that Loki’s control of the Time-Slip is more like Quantum Leaping into his past self. He still can’t choose to go to places he’s never been at before.

So...when O.B.'s variant is telling Loki that his goal is impossible, so he might be able to do it, it's actually not as confusing as it sounds. That said...it IS pure bullshit, it's just total nonsense in every way. But, it's not as confusing as it sounds... So, if you have noise-cancelling headphones or anything like that, it's not terribly different from how those work. You read a wave...in the case of the headphones, a soundwave...and you copy it, flip it, and blast it back at the source at the same modulation but an opposite frequency. The two waves interfere with each other, and since they're exactly opposite of each other in frequency, you get near total silence. Every crest and trough of the wave is aligned with its opposite in the other wave, so you hear nothing (or rather, very little. In the case of electromagnetic waves and such...this isn't possible. They don't interact that way (so far as we know...but we might one day learn something new). But in the show, the idea is that you have an impossible thing...which is mathematically, a kind of infinity. So if you've got another identically impossible thing...another infinity...the two may cancel each other and mean that it's actually possible instead. There's also a component of wave-function collapse, but that's another can of worms, and the simpler description for something this silly is plenty already. That's what O.B. is getting at. Loki has already time-slipped in a place where there's no such thing as time. That's impossible. Now, Loki wants to go to a place and time that doesn't exist anymore, which is also impossible. But since one impossibility has already occurred, it means that another identical impossibility should cancel it, which is why both become possible instead.
