NICE ONE! thanks for the watch!
Went past a tyre fitter on o/s trailer tyre on a long two lane motorway slip road, only his cones protecting him, being in antic,I slowed down hazards on,straddled the two lanes, and he gave me a thumbs up,idiots were still plowing down at silly speeds.Stay safe Greg.
Hi Greg, like your videos , keep them coming, I work in the same industry down in Essex, the slow down or move over means get closer down here, people got no care about amber lights, to much of a hurry mate

YES will do! thanks for the watch! , Stay safe out there! ambers are out dated! Sometimes just a few pairs of hazard warning lights work better!

Must be nice to have a job with variety where you never know what you're gonna be getting up to in any given day. Also no doubt a right pain a times in real life but makes for decent viewing 😂😂

Never mind bent towing eye…my Fiat 500 comes with a towing eye but no hole in the lower crossbar to screw it into, behind the towing eye cap! AA man was fuming it took ages to get wheels out the back of his van to dolly it instead 🤣🙈

Please make a video on how a wheel balancing machine works
I have experience this job 20 years.
Why do you start the engine to change a tyre?

yeah vile stuff for sure has a reet pong to it aswell!
Are your van wheels pointing the wrong way when stationary? I’ve always been trained to point them the opposite way? Anyway good job man 👍🏻

I know I'm a bit late to you but.... I'd say Greg got it 100% right on this one at least with where the vans positioned and he is working, if wheels were facing other way and his van gets hit, it is going straight into the vehicle he's working on or into crash barrier and knocking arse end of vehicle and Greg out into the carriageway.

@@benjiaj1963 I understand that, but when parked or attending an emergency on a motorway you are supposed to pint your wheels to the left, so aiming at the barrier this way if your hit from behind your better off hitting the barrier than the car in front or having your vehicle go back into the path of the traffic on the motorway. Sorry, I was a fitter for 17 years attending a lot of motorway work & always told to do this by my company & highway police, things might of changed now 👍🏻

Wheels pointing towards the barrier & his van should be sitting much further back 😬
@EDCChampionshipRacingOnline
Жыл бұрын
@@JJ-sc4uj tbh as I drive a lot on motorways I’ve seen different people point the wheels either towards barrier or towards back into the carriageways? Maybe this needs to be clarified as different companies are using different methods! Obviously I think the safest way is to point your wheels towards barriers, think that is safest way but either way it’s still dangerous, 🤷🏼♂️

Sorry for DELAY, thanks for the comment, so normally if im very close to casualty vehicle I will face into traffic so it goes away from me if get hit, people on the motorway are already in a vehicle, with seat belts and an airbag, where as me and customer standing outside have 0 protection. If I was doing a FEND OFF and parked 20-50 meters back potentially I could face wheels into the kerb... Varys to the job in hand being honest in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Seeing those HGVs belt it a couple metres or less past you isn't the one 😬
Do i neee any license or trainings to start this business
Do you only charge tyres. Not do any puncture repairs.
My air doofer would have taken about 3 days to fill that up
51 psi in the Mercedes tyre no wonder it had a blow out 😂 I could never let a tyre get like that you would feel it

IVR top tip: park with your steering locked to the left and vehicle positioned slightly facing the curb. If a car hits you from behind it’s sending your van into the live lanes causing even more carnage. Dangerous job, top work 👍
