Today is a day to celebrate these incredible reptiles and shed light on the challenges they face in their natural habitats. Our commitment to their well-being is reflected in our latest project - a mobile terrarium for our two box turtles, ‘Alistair’ and ‘Julian’!
Members of our Facilities and Horticulture teams have been working with our Animal Care, Health & Welfare team to create this beautiful home on wheels for these species’ ambassadors. This innovative habitat not only ensures their comfort but also serves as an educational tool allowing our staff to safely transport them to and from our school programs throughout zoo grounds. 📚
