This is a VERY GOOD SIMPLE Video on Crawler / Mobile Crane Inspection need to be done. Full observation on Visual Inspection, functional testing on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic. Structural Strength as well as safety devices. Ensure Log Book is available to note down each findings and activities including servicing / preventive maintenance.
Ensure that all safety devices such as derrick limiter (Boom angle limiter), Anti Two Block (Over Winding System), Pawl Brake System as well as the LMI - Load Moment / Movement Indicator (Computer Box - Old School) is in serviceable condition. Always ensure inspection is being done base on Crane Specification / Manual and no signs of wear and tear (Hydraulic system and hoses)
Last but not least, is the Crane Operator - Competency requirements as per legal / Standard / Company specifications and aware their responsibility towards lifting activities. Always refer to Lifting Plan for any lifting activities and to refer to Lifting Supervisors @ Managers should there be any discrepancies at worksite!
