Combination of 13 Videos on Crane Block (Primary & Auxiliary) Inspection. From Types of Wire Rope used for Crane Hoisting (Right Hand Ordinary / Regular Lay - RHOL), Mill cert for wire rope, inspecting visual on wire rope diameter and conditions, wire rope termination on wedges socket, sheave @ pulley system, pulley conditions, SWL vs WLL, parts per line, greasing and maintenance conditions, hooks, latch, block modifications, etc.
Always inspect for Visuals, identify any abnormality, modification is not allow for any parts unless its authorised by the manufacturer and check the functionality for each members and parts! Do not take risk by approving anything that is against standard or practice.
Perform regular inspection (Routine - By Crane Operator / Schedule - By crane inspector or senior Crane Maintenance Foreman / Lifting Supervisor) and ensure all parts and members (Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic) is serviceable!
