If it was my personal car I would run the Amsoil signature series you'll be able to go 15,000 miles of severe service with the Amsoil oil filter and signature it'll save you a lot on engine wear your motor will run stronger and last significantly longer smoother idle much more power and you'll also get a good bump and fuel mileage. Yeah it's amazing how much false informations out there. I'll never forget when I was asking people when I first started about Amsoil and everybody said it was bad and that it was going to make their car leak and all this stuff and I couldn't figure out why people were making up stuff about Amsoil I just didn't understand. Now I kind of get it I think a lot of the people that make up stuff is just a lot of the competitors. It's understandable. To me though my integrities on the line and I try to ballpark things as close as possible and if it's not right I make the revision. Great products. All of them. Ive so far used the severe 75 140 oil for rear differencial. Used the 5 20 for motor oil the atf fluid for transmission and the p1 gas additive. All at same time for installation of fluids. Runs like a champion like the product

Having a friend in the Amsoil business, I only use Signature on my 3 cars as well as Pi and other products in my yard equipment. Great stuff!

I've got a 2008 kia spectra 4dr 2.0l 4cyl auto NON-turbo. When I bought it new it was mpg "rated" at 24city and 32hwy. Been using Amsoil signature 5w-20 for years now. Even at about $14 a quart it has always paid for itself in better lubrication, hence better fuel mileage. Using this oil I can confidently run up to 30,000 miles with no issues. Couple that with 1 Amsoil P&I treatment every 6 months, my engine is very clean and runs/drives like the first day I bought it new. And it doesn't matter if it's in the heat of Death Valley or the sub-zero of Wyoming. Now with 214,000 miles my mpg's are averaging 33city and 40hwy. I would drive this car anywhere in a heartbeat, no questions. Oh.....and my transmission is Amsoil filled too with the Amsoil transmission fluid!! Amsoil may be a little more costly out the gate, but it sure gives back in money savings over time!!! I am and will be a continued user of Amsoil products. Everything is still running smooth and slick with all the Amsoil fluids used so far. Many Diesel engines are naturally loud and at times make a ticking sound after many miles and over time but my 3cyl VW engine runs sweet after its 2nd change of Euro 5w30 and gearbox is much smoother. 8k miles atm.

Great information and using Amaoil in my car with the high temperatures and heat of the Las Vegas desert really makes a big difference. The group I, II, III oils come from the Cat Cracking process of refining Dino Oil which has Sulphur wax and other natural "contaminants". The group IV oil is called PAO, polyalphaolefins. These are refined (synthesized) from ethylene gas, such that they do not contain the "natural impurities" (sulphur, wax) in group 3 oils. This PAO is used as the base oil for 100% synthetics.

Great question Ray I would go with the Amsoil Signature Series if it was my personal car I would also get a Wix oil filter for the first 3,000 miles then after that you can use the Amsoil oil filter. I would also get a couple bottles of Pi cleaner that's going to clean your injectors valves and then I would get a case of upper cylinder lubricant. You'll also see the engine flush under cleaners and protectants that's great that's going to clean up a lot of the carbon that's inside the motor. I bought the Amsoil OEM 5w20 for my truck. Ram 5.7 Hemi. I have always for many years now, used Mobil 1 reg 5w20. How much better is the Amsoil OEM over the Mobil 1?

It's about twice as good in turbocharger deposit testing That's how much it burns off and breaks down and turns into carbon. It's also better with a higher film strength which keeps the metal parts separated Your cams and pistons and rings will last longer you'll also have less blow by unless fuel contamination. As far as how long it lasts It's recommended for the OEM interval which most cars are about 3 to 5,000 miles however some cars are good up to 7,000 in that case you're still good for that length. If you do all highway driving and you do oil analysis you could probably go well beyond that even with the OE you just want to make sure you know exactly where you're at and how your car is performing

I just started using it and it’s the “real deal”. For my oil burning engine, it cut my consumption rate to 1/2 quart at 1500-1700 miles so far. With Mobil 1, I was topping off 1 quart of oil every 1,000 miles.

So I use signature series 0-20 & the gasoline additive every fill up & the P.I. additive every 4mos on my 2016 silverado but the oil has a 25000mile interval which I change every 18000 but now I want to use the amsoil oil filter which requires 15000 interval oil change which I would go past 15000

So amsoil makes a 25000 mile interval oil but a 15000 mile oil filter my question is now im changing oil at about 12000 mile cuz of the 15000 mile oil filter interval. Is that the correct thing to do or change at the max mile interval that is stated on the filter at 15000 mile.

Great question it just depends on the filter your car takes some filters are smaller and the Amsoil filters are good for 15,000 the others are good for $25,000 what I like to do on my personal vehicles is I change the filter if I'm going to go 25,000 miles in one year I change the filter at 12,500 top it off with oil and then I use the appropriate fuel additives the pi performance improver gasoline additive and I also run upper cylinder lubricant every full tank of gas that keeps a lot of build up out of the motor oil it also keeps from a lot of fuel contamination because everything's running cleaner.

I would change the filter at the halfway mark for the year and that way you have much cleaner oil better filtration

everybody does this with cold freeze oil, but what nobody shows is if the oil follow de lubricity after get hot, meaning a 5w30 hot vs 10w40 hot flows the way it suppose to?

That's a good question Ian I would recommend doing an oil analysis on your first oil change to get your toes wet. Most OEM intervals on cars are about 3 to 5,000 miles but you can go longer if you check the oil with oil analysis that way you'll know how the ware metals are and what your fuel contamination looks like and other things that are important.

Yeah the signature series is quite a bit better in cold flow also high temperature it's definitely quite an upgrade and if you are driving in the cold or extremely high heat temperatures it's worth the money if you are driving in normal conditions and you don't drive much every year then the OE is a great option👍 I give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish. I’ve read in some forums that the Amsoil OE is actually a Group 3 oil, which means its technically just a highly refined mineral oil with additives. Can you verify if this is true?

That's what I heard as well about OE line. I wonder if XL is as well? Most likely, hence cheaper blend and additives. I don't doubt it's performance, but I want to know specifics what I put in my engine.

Μobil 1 5w30 esp is says Advanced Fully Synthetic (group 4 PAO). This formulation i think is 100% synthetic. Nevertheless some mobil 1 oils write SHC Synthese Technology which are 75% synthetic (group 3+) same as castrol edge 5w30 LL. I have a qashqai j11 1.2 DIG-T 135PS and i have an oil consumption of 300ml /1000km. Which oil do you think will decrease the oil consumption?

Yes it will idle a lot quieter you'll also notice your drivetrains quieter shifting and rear differential gears when you switch the drive train fluids. It's a significant difference

Have you ever compared the Mobil 1 Extended Performance with the Amsoil OE? The reason I ask is the prices are kinda similar but I think the Mobil 1 promises more miles out of it. (although the Amsoil is 100% synthetic)

Great question I've never done anything formal but I've had people switch over from different oils and they said the difference is very significant it runs a lot better with the OE oil compared to any mobile one and I've had people use all the different mobile ones from the regular extended performance and annual protection and they said it ran way better with Oe

So the Amsoil oem is made from group 4 base stocks? The OEM is the only thing I can get locally and I want to switch to Amsoil I'm running mobile one annual which is a group 4 true synthetic I don't want to switch to Amsoil OEM if it's a group 3 basically I want a true fully synthetic. Wish I could get the signature series around here may have to order it on the internet

@@luptonpittman6520 I actually ended up finding a place an hour from my house that carries amsoil SS and since I work construction down there sometimes whenever I'm there I pick up a few quarts got a good stock pile of the signature series and I'm sticking with it it's a really freaking good oil noticing results after only 300 miles in my daily driver. But I think you're right I think the OE is still better than mobile ones best and I can actually get the Oe 1 minute from my house if I need an extra quart thanks for the info I appreciate it!!

Amsoil OE is a largely Group 3 formulation. This means “100% synthetic” does not mean 100% PAO/ester anymore, even through Signature Series is still 100% PAO/ester

How is Amsoil XL and OE 100% synthetic? When they are mainly group III

There's a great question if it was my personal vehicle and it was like a regular car or truck I would run the signature series motor oil I would do the engine flush also a bottle of PI performance improver and I would also get the power phone. That's awesome yeah the most important thing is the oil filter I recommend changing the oil filter very early at about 2 to 5,000 mi and that way you can get all the buildup out the signature series is going to melt that out of your motor and your motor is going to run way better after you change the oil filter

It's a good question. I would say probably not you're definitely going to get better results by using the Amsoil engine flush. I also recommend the Amsoil Power Foam 2 is great. In the Amsoil PI performance improver that really is a great 123 punch that will really clean up your motor you'll see a big difference in compression engine braking it'll sound and run a lot smoother a lot quieter. You'll see a good difference in fuel mileage and major performance improvement. That's what I did to all my cars you'll see the 59 Cadillac on the channel If you just type in 1959 Cadillac Amsoil engine flush or you'll also see my 2013 SL550 Amsoil engine flush

There are 5 groups of oil base. Mineral group 1 and 2 and HC and GTL group 3 and the syntetics are group 4 "PAO" and Group 5 "Ester" and others extreme Quality airplane turbine antifriction stuff. Amsoil uses 60% or si PAO and 15-20% Ester. Making it one of the highest quiality and expensive to make oils. I think redline has an oil that almost gets close to Amsoil, but not quite. I recommend Amsoil just for the fact that You are not being scam about being a syntetic oil, like must of the brands in the market. Only in Germany oils must Say in the jar if it is a blend of HC+syntetic of one of each other. Go to any oil brand in German and You Will see the same oil here is called 100% syntetic and there HC-synthese. Try Motul for example.

That's what I thought until I talked to many people that have used both they are a big difference in quality also in performance and film strength one is 100% synthetic the other one is called a full synthetic a oil manufacturer can call a full synthetic full synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic. Also the oil consumption is quite a bit of a difference and the vibration difference is also quite a big difference this is from talking to many people that have used both on my personal KZread channel. Of course the non-turbo cars will benefit just as well The difference is the heat at the turbo where the oil can burn and it can actually clog up the turbo that's the big thing with the turbos. So it's so important to have a motor oil that doesn't burn and it doesn't have carbon deposits. That's one of the biggest killers of turbos.

I run a 2020 Ram 3500 hotshot in a lot of harsh conditions in and out of mines down in the desert, in the rocky mountains, and the NW and switched to Amsoil severe gear in the axles on my truck/trailer. I've been impressed with how the oil looks/smells after changes so I went ahead and got a case of Max-Duty 5w40 and a Filter to see how my engine likes it. I plan to do an oil analysis of the OEM oil recommendations compared to Amsoil Max-Duty, but something tells me one will outshine the other as I've already put the Amsoil stickers on both sides of my Diamond-C gooseneck. Now all I need is an oil bypass kit and banks rear diff cover then I might make some review videos myself 😉
