Chorus:
Son, they shook
'Cause ain't no such things as halfway crooks
Scared to death, scared to look, they shook
'Cause ain't no such things as halfway crooks
Scared to death, scared to look
Livin' the life that of diamonds and guns
There's numerous ways you can choose to earn funds
So some get shot, locked down, and turn nuns
Cowardly hearts and straight up shook ones, shook ones
He ain't a crook, son, he's just a shook one

I lived through 80/90s crack years in NJ/NY. This track will always hit because it's so raw. Queens/Brooklyn/Newark... All the way to Atlantic City and Philly, shit was real. Every block was a territory and the hood did not play. Taught me a lot of respect that people don't get the chance to learn nowadays. Not like back then.

This line's relatable for me even though I'm in a completely different situation from him. I'm 19 and I wrote a poem about a warm heart turned cold a couple of months ago before I even listened to this song. Mine's more so depression and confusion with my problems.

the reason why this sounds so dark havoc starts it with a cooker ignition - to simulate cooking up he slows it down until becomes the tempo so you get that street vibration which is deeply embedded in the beats inner core its that tempo rhythm vibration that energy is why this sounds more street than anything you ever heard
