Buddy, could you tell me what is the motor driver on the MN82 stock ESC/receiver? I saw TA6586 on the MN9x/MN78 board, is it still the same? It's the DIP-8 ICs next to the motor connector. Trying to figure out the max amp draw I can safely pull through the stock electronic (datasheet says 5A continuous and 7A max but may need heatsinking on the motor ouput legs)

Not really sure about the technical side of the stock elecs but I know a lot of people using 370 motor with the stock elecs.

@@Violator-RC is the markings on that 8 pins black chip TA6586? I just saw a review and it can handle 3-4A with ease woah, I'm gonna add a little heatsink on it

Nice 370 motor to the reducer. I have a MN390 20T motor in my MN99S on a 2 speed and it keeps destroying all my gears😂

Oh man, that sucks if it keeps doing that. 390 is probably too strong for the gearbox. I have the 380 and 390 and a 55O in stock right now.

How did you mount the gearbox to the chassis,, Did you make a hole in the chassis?

The gearbox is just mounted using cut outs of old cards that I have then zip tied into place.

With the ESC in the passenger side, you're just missing a flux capacitor now :D

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll make one haha. I couldn't figure out where to put the elecs since they no longer fit underneath.

I plan on just doing just the metal gears swap and 370 motor swap, on the MN78 apparently you want medium speed 16.5k RPM on 2S with 1:35 reduction to get same speed but more torque? So on the stock gearbox with 1:18, you'll need 8500RPM to keep same speed

It's better to use the lower rpm to get better speed modulation and you'll get a bit of torque but not that much. To get a good amount of torque we need to use this type of single speed gearbox.

Amazing..Do you feel the big difference after upgrading it?.. can't wait on your test drive video..😎👍 To be honest i don't know much about upgrading..just wanna ask,,u change motor for more power..gear for more torque..and that thing u do on interior is a receiver or esc that control and manage everything with better response in performance of the car..am i right here so far ?..or is it that control the power steering?

Thanks. I have the same setup with my c24 and there's a massive difference in torque. You can do slow crawl over obstacles with minimal effort. I'll be doing a test run this weekend. The external BEC is just there to make sure the servo gets a stable supply of power but you don't have to worry about it since most ESCs have built in BEC.

It's an Alf extreme tires, it's available on our local shopping app here in PH. It's an Indonesian made tires.

It's an unbranded rims and I think it's 1.33.
