Isn't that the truth, exceot when I joined I knew it. Amateur boxer and 10 years on Ken po, but when I hit those mats I was a white belt and no different then the 12 year old next to me, maybe standing up I'd have a chance , but that's a pipe dream against a person trained well in jujitsu, two or three punches and it's the ground everytime.

Great to see this. It takes a lot of guts and humility to give others opportunity to admit fault, but that's the way you change hearts and minds. Kindness and understanding leads to a positive outcome more often than any other path. It would have been so easy to rip into this guy and shame him about lying but not only did the higher road lead to a potential business opportunity, but also a potential friendship. This is a good example of salvaging what could've been a bad situation.

I rarely ever comment on KZread but I just had to say I have crazy respect for both of them. The instructor was respectful, kind, helpful, and genuinely just wanted to spread the knowledge. He was completely understanding of the situation and treated his opponent with respect and understanding. And the officer was also upfront and honest right away, he went so far as to apologize because he recognised it may be disrespectful to make claims such as that and explained an understandable situation. No ego or toxicity, just honesty about the situation and a genuine respect for someone who could teach him a few things. Everyone talks shit sumtimes especially when ur at the bar, but this man was likely intoxicated and still had the respect and understanding to acknowledge the situation and be honest Ab it. I think both of these people are awesome and hope they both keep growing and learning. Seeing people be respectful, understanding, and kind to each other is just so wholesome, and I pray for success and blessings to all parties involved
