I love your creativitiy. After you rolled changing reality for the treasure, my first idea was some kind of Wish spell, but your idea with controling the un-dead and with the ghost-ship is so much more interesting, it explains perfectly why it is so valuable for these specific groups.

Almost every Monday we have meetings, as well…so many bloody meetings! And usually around 4 EST every other week, the notification pops up about MM&D (one of only 3 KZread channels I set notifications for), and like you I wish for these meetings to hurry up and end! :)

Currently rewatching season 1 with my wife (first time through for her), so I was so darn happy to see an appearance of Simon!

Sitting at my desk, relaxing while listening to the show and sit straight up in my chair when I hear the name of Simon! Loved it. Lots of story progress this week too. What an adventure this is turning out to be!

Loving this show

I have been watching this channel from the start and there are a good number of reasons to keep coming back. Watching the story unfold with Trevor is a real joy enhanced by his superb voice acting. As an occasional GM, I wish had a small percentage of his talent. When he flashed back and I heard Simon’s voice, I was right back there in season one and remembered all the good times as Simon went above and beyond to prove his innocence of a crime he didn’t commit. You don’t feel that way about shows you don’t love. Another pleasure, I find, is wondering how I would GM or play certain plots or developments. That’s another pleasure in watching a story develop in front of your eyes. If I was playing, I’d be wondering why Edbert doesn’t remember anything from Simon knocking him out and waking up on the island. He was obviously active during that month. I’d be wondering if Edbert was in his right mind when he started hunting for an item that could resurrect Sheralyn and how he, a simple warrior, was able to understand that the Soul Cage could do this. I would be wondering what possessed him to go after it, or who possessed him. A certain ghost has been dormant of late, or has she?? As always, I can’t wait to see how this story develops.

Plot twist: Sheralyn possessed Edbert's body during that month, and that's why he doesn't remember any of it! 😜

As someone who has been flitting back and forth between S1 and S3, how closely the paybacks align is perfect xD

I absolutely dig how you're able to take these rolls and mesh them so nicely in with the story and bring them all together nicely. It's really helped me get better at doing the same. Of course, it's led me down strange paths, I won't lie, but it's kept it interesting, and certainly not dull! Ha!

I think it was really good sense to bring it all together like you did in this episode. My wife and I really enjoyed seeing the charts, tables and oracles dictate the story (with some quick thinking by the DM "you, yourself and die"), with some solid logical extrapolation, and some good.. of the moment.. decision story making. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of pace... which was none the less as exciting as all the rest. And... that`s done it: I have the same ship model (which I use a lot), but seeing yours all painted up in all its glory, has prompted me, finally, to get the paint brushes out and actually paint mine up properly :-)

Awesome! Really rooting for Simon to show up at the last minute to help with the final phase of the adventure. He doesn't seem like the type to abandon a friend, even if he did pack him off on a ship for an unexpected voyage.

Yet another awesome episode. I love how the story is progressing. I can see an encounter with a ghost ship in Edbert’s future. I loved the flashback scene with Simon; although he had the best of intentions, his plan sucked!! As always, a week seems too long to wait.

Love the episode! Great storytelling as always! One thing (and perhaps its explained in future episodes), if the Soul Cage can resurrect people then why are the order hunting Egbert and not helping him? That way they both win, the Order get their leader back, Egbert gets his ghost problem taken care of and they can ask Sherilyn what happened and thus prove Egberts innocence?

If you're taking ideas for the ghost ship, I think it would be cool if it was the ship of the original Free Lord that the League is now named after. Maybe the name could be The Free Lord's Lady.

I find it interesting that while I don't feel like I would like to play Ironsworn, S2 is so far my favorite. I like RP and story, but it ruins my immersion when the setting is so obviously "not real." The more simulationy rules (not so much in "physics simulation" like GURPS or RoleMaster, but in the way of attributes and skills that align with observation of reality, if that maked sense) the more I feel immersed... It really makes me appreciate how well the PbtA "narrative focus" really gets the job done, giving you good tools for maximizing a story. For no other reason, this has been a marvelous discovery on my part, opening up my eyes to a game style that I otherwise may never have clicked with.

Now you just have to make a successful ‘Very unlikely’ roll on Simon suddenly showing up to save the day…

Awesome like always Trevor! You did an impressive job switching between the characters, (I especially loved the chosen portrayal of the bar maid lol), and I’m curious how long you usually give yourself between cuts to change into a new character. Either way, with your obvious skill and talent you should really consider an acting career if this whole YT thing doesn’t work out. ;)
