This Houston Dynamo team was perhaps the best MLS team in its history. It was so good that it gave Mexico's best teams at the time a run for their money, at a fraction of the cost. No other MLS team did that. Even Mexican soccer fans in Houston acknowledged how good this team was, and believe me, that did not come easy because Mexicans for the most part have always hated the MLS. I really thought at the time that it was a sign of potential growth of the MLS but fast forward 13 years later and it has been an utter disappointment. The worst part is that the MLS now controls US Soccer and dictates who is put on the USMNT with their pro MLS coach and the recent mediocre results that speak for themselves. Can anyone explain what happened?

I was at this game. I remember after NE scored you felt so drained and before you even had time to register Houston was going to lose it was already 1-1!

Men if it wasn't for losing two straight finals against LA Galaxy, Dynamo would be the top tier team in the MLS right now.

Philadelphia Union fan here. and i just want to say i felt really bad for taylor twellman one of the best MLS players ever couldnt lift the cup..even when he seemed like he had it his chances went to 50/50 like 30 seconds later

This is the most painful of all the Revs losses at MLS Cup. Twellman got the goal but it wasn't a golden goal. Ching gets the equalizer. Lose on PKs. If the Revs could have any one of their cup losses back, this would be the one to take.

it hurts knowing we are the buffalo bills of the mls and I feel that we will unfortunately still not win shit even with carles gil, andrew farrell, tomas chancalay, gustavo bou, having bruce arena as our coach, brandon bye, etc.

Patriots won 3 super bowls in 4 years, red sox 7 world series and 2 in 4 years, celtics 17 nba titles, 11 in 13 years, bruins = countless stanley cups. We are in good standing and we are the city/state/area of this past decade..!!!
