MLI-84M - Modernised Romanian BMP-1

Romanian and US forces have been practising together on a training ground in Romania.
The MLI-84M1 - modernization of the BMP-1 fitted with a new Israeli OWS-25R overhead mount turret armed with 25x137mm Oerlikon KBA autocannon, two 9S415 ATGM launchers and a machine gun. It is also equipped with two banks of four 81 mm DLG 81 heat and smoke grenade launchers. Grenades leave a thermal curtain of fire around the vehicle for about five minutes, to confuse enemy missiles. MLI-84M1 vehicle also has a system that can disperse dense smoke over a radius of 360 degrees around the vehicle and at a distance between 300-400 metres (980-1,310 ft). Because mounting of the new turret increased the weight of the vehicle to 17.6 tonnes, a new more powerful engine was fitted.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense spent over 155 million dollars to upgrade 99 vehicles.

@@HHSTT it doesn’t matter bruv. It’s better than retiring them. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I still believe that NATO weapons are more superior than Russias. I’m not American btw but I’m biased towards them. 🇺🇸🤝🏻🇬🇧

@@NSLuke They are not. As you can see in Ukraine. In fact they are worse because they are bulky and require much much more maintenance with very expensive parts that do the exact same thing as their Russian counterparts which are much cheaper.

BMP terminator is more russian propaganda than a real thing just like t-14 armata. They have too few and are way worse than what ruzzia claim to be.
