Realistically, strike calls are subjective and down to the interpretation of the umpire. What I might think is a strike someone else might think is a ball and vice versa. And unlike us mere mortals who get the benefit of a ball tracking strike zone and slow mo replays on the television, the umps have to make an on-the-spot split second decision based purely on what they see from behind the plate. Sometimes they get it wrong, but on the whole they do a decent enough job.

I remember playing last season of baseball. I remember my last at bat because I was the final out. Bases are loaded, my team down one run. I have a full count and the pitcher had good velocity but terrible accuracy. The pitch was outside by at least two feet because the catcher had to dive to prevent the ball from going past and scoring the tying run. I wait and the ump calls "strike 3 outside corner". My coach becomes livid with the ump saying that in a championship game those type of calls should not be made.

I saw a few outright bad calls but not many. Granted these umps were going back to an older strike zone that I am not sure was ever officially changed but the strike zone needs to be shoulders to knees and crossing some portion of the plate. The corners are acceptable which I sometimes feel is missed by the complaining public when it is against their team. To the owner of this channel "You need to find replays of definitive bad calls if you are going to label it the worst".

I'm a Yankee fan. That pitch was high imo. I agree Napoli locked up a bit, but it was a ball.
Most of these pitches are actually strikes. Batters don't like the high strike, but it's part of the zone.
2:28 I thought the umpire had a mic😂
16 seconds that was a strike what was he going to argue😭
Honestly that first one was painted great call. The rest were borderline at worst. The foul tip ok that was bad. Give us replay in slo mo for a second look. Check out Phil Niekros 300 win for some generous strike calls

We don't need slo mo for most of them... there are literal strike zone trackers on the screen for almost all of them...
What ever happened to two strikes protect the plate?
Yeah that was like every umpire when I played little league
Every one of those was close enough to go either way. Batters have to protect the plate.
What the hell is Cain arguing about? That's right down the pike.
From my view, they were all strikes. Swing the bat whiney batters!

Fletcher Whitworth 3:44 is not even close lmao
It's sad, we create sports, and with our participation, we completely ruin everything that was good with the sport.
If a umpire makes a bad call, karate kick them in the face, please
The only ones that were bad was the foul tip ones and the lorenzo cain strike. Other than that you gotta swing at those
Not all of them, but some of those calls were gd.
MLB has to have the worst officials in pro sports bar none.
First, most of them were not strikes. They were balls. Worst calls ever? Well, no, but it is a part 2. But this does show just how good mlb umpires are ahead of every other sport, except maybe hockey.
Well the first pitch was a strike so I'm out.

The first pitch was 4 inches off the plate the catcher just knows how to frame watch the ball not the glove dummies
Nearly all these pitches were close and more importantly right where the catcher set his glove.
Even on a video about strikes A.J. Burnett still cant get one to go his way 😂
Hard to tell on most pitches. The angle of the Camera lies. (The strike zone picture helps.) Only a couple of terrible calls here. Some may have been strikes.
With two strikes on you, swing at anything close
A lot of these are just as close as the worst balls called video
Nothing from the Canada Day game against Cleveland in 2016?
all close strikes, not bad, umps did good

Bradenv31 4 yeah I know
Cabrera gets the worst out of all of these lmao
Those pitches look ok. The k zone dont look lined up
So let me get this straight. You can't be mad at all when there was a bad call made? And if you do get mad you'll get thrown out of the game?
I wonder how many of these were so called revenge strikeouts bacause a player whines and cries too much
It’s not easy calling a 90 miles per hour pitch.
3:10 looked right down the middle, belt high. Keep crying, Miggy.
A lot of these are close I wouldn't really call A lot of these really terrible most are just borderline.
Too damn close to let go by when you have 2 strikes
Rip Ventura
Not quite sure why the announcers are so emphatic about the calls being bad. The only bad one was the AJ Burnett strikeout that wasn't. Otherwise, they're not at all horrible calls.
Go play at the world masters and the strike zone is brutal . Way to many games and limited quality umpires . Hard enough when your old and crusty .... but hey I love it .
Pretty close, good movement, maybe hard to call during live action,I really don't fault these umpires!!!
2 strikes on you ... youre going to get wrung up by certain umps... swing the bat !!!
Can you do a 90's Atlanta Braves Edition. The video would be hours long, though.
Give me a break... The backward punch outs were all close.
A few of these were strikes.
God Joe West is the worst ump ever. Plus what’s with the umps being eject happy? I even think the players and MLBPA talked about it that you can’t even say “you know I disagree”, “was that really a strike” or anything along those lines without being ejected.
First clip Joe West. Anybody surprised?
The first replay was a strike.
I see a bunch of these as strikes.
Other than the foul that wasn’t and foul that was, all of these are borderline. Take the bat off of your shoulder. Especially if you have two strikes on you.
You see these calls every game. Nothing crazy here, the foul tip was odd though
First pitch was a strike
Most of these are in the strike zone
Dang i didnt know the mlb hired umpires from my league...
what about the joe nathan call
1:42. I know it's hard to tell, but that looks like a strike.
Most of those pitches are too close to be looking at on 2 strikes, idc what that computerized box shows, those pitches are just hitting the corners of the plate
Should be called "worst video part 2". I watched the first 2 "worst" strike calls, and guess what? They were both strikes. I was hoping for.. you know... bad calls.
The first one was a strike
I don't think it was intentional, but this video displayed just how good the umpires truly are
I knew I would see Joe west!
You need to include the slo-mo replay when possible. There is no way of knowing whether most them are strikes or not. The title of your video is misleading clickbait.
