I can watch his highlights all day. I watch what ever team he plays for. He's the best Defense of player.

When you hear the announcers say “hopefully he’s okay” multiple times in a defensive highlight video. There’s NO denying this guy gives it his all every time he suits up

Cubs fan here. Always compared the Russell-Baez-Rizzo trio as the Cubs modern Tinker to Evers to Chance combo. As the poem says, Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble: Russell to Baez to Rizzo. Cheers....

He can be frustrating to watch with the bat but his glove work is amazing.

I'm a Braves fan, but I always like Baez. The situational awareness and play making abilities make him a joy to watch. That run back to home oh my goodness i will never forget that.

Javy was batting .300 for the Mets hes a career .260 hitter. he has to lay off swinging at sliders but defensively and as a base runner hes going to give you above average play. He can have a comeback season in Detroit. He is proven in the playoffs and is a good locker room guy

Does anyone else believe a change of scenery with meaningful games will bring out the best of Baez? I realize he just got to The Tigers and he did sign the deal but if i'm a team close to contention, i think I would try to acquire him? I would love for my San Francisco Giants to trade for him! His deal is reasonable for a 30 yr old player with his defensive skills and rbi potential. I don't mind the free swinger approach.... I think you can hit him 6th or 7th and not have the strikeouts hurt you too much.... The Tigers could use more top rated prospects and we do have a couple of solid shortstop prospects we could entice The Tigers with.... The recent trend is not good with Javier Baez but hard to believe such a young player is declining this rapidly! It does happen though.... Guys get stubborn and refuse to make adjustments. Farhan Zaidi get The Tigers Gm on the phone and get a deal done!

I've been a big fan of his since 2015 and was thrilled when he signed here in Detroit. I really hope he can figure it out, when he's on he's one of the most entertaining players in the game.

The hand,eye coordination of this man is nothing short of phenomenal! Not since the likes of Derek Jeter has anyone come close to to the glove wizardry of Baez.

Lots of "Wows" throughout this video ... incredible player, but why would a team let him go? The first year he played, I thought he should be signed to a very long-term contract. Malcontent? I never thought so as a fan, he's just exciting to watch. He fields some absolute rockets in this comp and shows an arm to envy. Rizzo also made several saves that helped.

Cubs let everyone go. They didn’t have money to pay everyone. Pretty much Houston rockers type situation. Everyone got traded or left to walk in free agency

People can say he’s overrated, obsolete or sucks at bat, he is still an awesome player.
