Having played 2 years of JUCO baseball & 2 years of D-1 baseball, I can assure you that it is 100% foolish to not wear an arm guard. My freshman year I got drilled in the elbow and had a ruptured bursa sac. Let me tell ya, that shit sucks & is one of the worst places to get hit but nothing is worse than in the face/head area.
