They mentioning the short porch like every one of his homers haven’t been no doubters

I’m pretty sure all 6 of them would’ve been out in the majority of stadiums. I know both of his dingers against the Cubs where out in all 30 parks

When you mention a lefty Yankee hitter, you basically have to mention the short porch. Doesn't mean they're saying he's hitting porch jobs, just that for a lefty the short porch is very tantalizing, and a pull-happy guy like Carpenter will benefit monstrously for it. The stadium was built for lefties.

Matt Carpenter is not done!!! I knew something had to be wrong. Because this guy one year hit so many doubles I couldn't even keep track he's got one of the best eyes for baseball I've ever seen he can play anywhere he's a good defensive player etc it just goes on and on. Lol. Watch out Yankees and American League teams because this guy is going to go on a tear!! I mean when he is right and when he is hot he's fun to watch it's like watching something that's unhuman on the field. Lol. Man this is going to be awesome. I'm from St Louis I know what's up. The Yankees just got the deal of a lifetime.

As a Cards fan, I hope Carp keeps it rolling. I first had a chance to watch him in AA ball, a few rows off the 3B line. Wonderful player. And the family ranch they speak of, if I remember correctly, is the 'Frozen Rope Ranch'. That's an awesome name...

I remember traveling down to texas and watch him play for the rangers triple a, it didn't feel right, he started dominating later in his few weeks there, he declined to signed people's baseballs, and before we knew it, boom, he's playing for the Yankees, raking up hits.

I don’t think any of his homers would have been outs in many ballparks honestly… maybe one or two off the wall but he’s crushing it well over 330 ft in most instances.

I learned to twist the hips to stay back, on my back leg/stay back on the ball. Do that and keep my hands back. I is a major part of the goats swing. There is more to it but, staying back on the ball, is a big part, of a swing.

"Short porch." He's not just barely hitting them over the right field fence. They don't move the fence back for other hitters, do they? That crack was uncalled for.

Even if they're no doubters, I think Carpenter has still benefited in his approach because the porch is there. Left handed pull hitters really thrive and can commit to their swing even if the ball is deadened. I think it's worth a small mention, only a line in the video.

According to StatCast, only ONE Carpenter HR in Yankee Stadium would have been an out in St. Louis. Carpenter is hitting BOMBs. This has NOTHING to do with the "short porch" in New York. It is all about Carpenter reworking his swing.

matt carpenter is a very good player that one year(2013) he was top 5 in mvp with numbers that didn't jump off the page.....except for 55 doubles!!!!!!! And in 2015 mvp 12 and 2018 mvp 9! whats weird is was he like a pitch hitter or pinch runner often in 2021? He only has 207 at bats but got in 130 games.....no wonder why he didn't have good 20(this year barely counts for me) or 21.....you need consistent reps. in reality he only had one bad full season. shit give one of your most important pieces of the past decade a freaking chance!
