I think the reason why Leo was shooting the hydrant so much was so that he could unstale his other moves as opposed to launching it

Yeah I guess. But gun endlag and minimal hydrant damage makes Joker vulnerable to getting hit by the hydrant

Torin Faes anything that can get hit can help unstable moves, IE Gordo, Hydrant, even the balloon on Hazard Smashvillen

$harif, stale moves: on I hit the the player repeatedly with ftilt, the move stales. I reset. I hit the hydrant with ftilt, then hit the cpu, it does a full 10% the hydrant didn’t stale. So yeah I guess the hydrant doesn’t stale moves.

I honestly think 8:01 was the turning point of this game, since Leo didn't feel like he was having troubles dealing with Pac Man, and Tea's confidence was probably put down a bit more, so it just helped out Leo a bunch.

The match we all been waiting for...not surprised by the results but just seeing them play against each other was awesome enough

Tea's Pacman's setups reminds me of Professor Pro's Snake in PM. Its so fun to watch.

I love them both, but I especially love how Leo played the last game right to the end when he could just camp.

Joker's guns into foot stool = new meta?

Tea is insane to match up this well with MKLeo. He definitely deserves better than 15#, but ultimately, he is an upstart in America, and there are A LOT of players in competitive smash. Even still, he squares up with the top 10 as though he is one of them. Every time.

I think Mkleo joker is amazing, but looking at how Tea plays.... I think the only nerf that Joker should have is to not have his counter, the one without Arsene forever. that should be temporary.

Man, I really wanted Tea to win this set. He and Leo are incredibly talented players but some of the things I've seen Tea do from tournament highlights were insane! Alas, he is fighting the best in the world, this was a great set to watch. Very entertaining

loser bracket leo is the boss mode leo. lols.

lesson: do not make a character who gets camped when they get limit and a character who camps the whole match fight each other...

It’s so funny how people forgot Leo was the Bayo slayer, the only player to consistently beat bayo, fucking zero quit because he couldn’t take losing anymore lol good bye🤣🤣. Leo is literally amazing his analyzing his opponents and once he’s figured you out you won’t win. Any lose he take in set is him learning. This doesn’t apply to everyone he faces just the majority, top players excluded, marss, nairo. How can people hate on Leo when he saved y’all from bayo in smash 4. Bayo carried players now it’s quite impressive to see a Player Carry a Character. Joker doesn’t need nerfs and isn’t hard to beat, Leo carries joker change my mind

Tea's Pac man could improve and there are a few problems with it, like his Key, which isn't used properly, but for the most part he gets big credit for his big brain, and honestly, he deserves it. Leo was very smart in his playing too. All-in-all, gg.

yeah really, i dont even understand why people will hate an olimar player, but not hate a pacman player. pacman is campier than those characters and he just makes the game feel so clunky in general

Maybe I’m biased cuz I play pac man, but I’ve never noticed pac man camping, or I’ve never cared. I just find Tea’s playstyle so fun to watch, and I think everyone who overlooks the zoner playstyle he demands feels the same. But seriously, I think the reason you're just now noticing the time is because players are getting better at fighting Tea. It makes it so he has fewer opportunities to go aggro. The reason it’s more campy is because pac man has to play very defensive when he doesn’t find his perfect opening. More oranges, cherries, and strawberries instead of galaxians and bells. Note the differences between early sets between Tea and Dabuz at frostbite or against Tweek at another tournament I’ve forgotten. Very little camping, tea gets the galaxian, does his combo, and kills. Not even close to timing out. I think pac’s weaknesses are starting to be exploited by players who have played him a lot, mainly Samsora. In this set though, I mean, it’s Leo and it’s Joker, and you’re blaming him for camping? At this point I need to remind people that smash isn’t made to be a spectator sport, so you’re taking it for granted that it’s fun to watch at all. Also, there hasn't been too much of an example, but as far as zoners go, Pac Man probably has the worst matchup spread. He struggles to find time to do setups when his opponents don't have to charge their projectiles, or have access to more than one of them at a time. Personally, I'm impressed with Tea's ability to keep up with ESAM. (I know, not a zoner, but thunderjolt is a pain to deal with) Edit: also side note yes I’ve watched Sinji and I’m not as much of a fan. He really slows down the game. I don’t know how optimal it is to just hide behind the trampoline and charge fruit, but he doesn’t do much during a game.

@@KevSB07 he can probably deal with esam because you need 100000 tjolt to get rid of hydrant, so idk, the projectile argument is pretty weak when you consider that hydrant just stuffs out projectiles. And if playing good against pacman means playing slow to the point you gotta timeout, then i think pacman is a worse offender than typical zoners. if anything, im not complaining about leo, leo did what he had to do, im complaining about pacman. I dont care smash wasnt meant to be a spectator sport, even as a player, pacman is even more annoying, because the game just feels slow and clunky when playing against him. And no matter what the game was intended to be, doesnt remove the fact that pacman is annoying all around Tbh the most annoying is just people complaining about campy characters and zoners, but will cheer and find pacman amazing. They just dont realize how annoying and campy pacman is cause ''low tier character'' ''unique character''''200 IQ character''

Yeah tea is definitely a talented and big brained player and regardless he could beat almost any of us but the reality is, pacman is annoying and boring. Nothing personal against him in all honesty.
