Yeah man I used to channel all of my hate of elite smash GNWs into Maister, but after the lie detector test my mom actually yelled at me for laughing too loud at 2 am lmao. Cool cat I def respect him a lot more since the start of this summit. Man summit is such a dope tournament, you get to see the players coolin out with each other and the vibes are just so amazing

I love how they were writing Light off in the first game and then slowly realized the man could more than stand his ground. Very good showing from Light, the linear recovery being hard countered by Arsene’s down B really cost him the win

I really like how with the additional commentary after the set, you can never make assumptions about the length of the set! "25min set and he just won 2-0? Well, let's skip to game 5 cause I already know how the next 2 games are gonna go" is how I watch half of matches on youtube. I wish more tournaments added this or just random stuff at the end!

Yeah man that's what makes summit the greatest event of the year by far. If only we had those interviews scar used to do at Apex that made so many iconic moments. Ultimate really hasn't had any iconic moments that stick out as much as melee, to me at least I could definitely be wrong and if so please remind me. But we need more rivalries, whether funny or for real. Like we have salem vs melee but that's actually bad for the community I think cause it creates division between the communities. But bizarro flame vs kage/eikleman, leffen vs chillin, east vs west coast (which I am so confused by where is the east vs west coast rivalry in ultimate I swear there hasn't even been an east vs west crew battle yet) and even zero vs nairo in brawl and smash 4. The game is still young tho but damn it where are the diss tracks?

I had to look it up, on Wikipedia it literally says there is a non canon fan theory that fox and other members had their legs amputated and replaced with prosthetics. I swear y’all crazy sometimes lol

Retconned former canon from the original Star-Fox actually. The Starfox Crew voluntarily did so due to extreme amounts of force normally placed on pilots from the speed their vehicles fly at, can potentially cause loss of consciousness due to blood rushing away from and towards the brain, especially during maneuvers like the aileron (barrel) roll, somersaults, etc. Amputating their legs substantially reduced this stress. However, this is considered non-canon as of Starfox 64.

There is a fan theory stating that Fox McCloud, along with other Star Fox members, had his legs amputated and replaced with metal prostheses; Cuthbert stated that the characters' legs were not amputated, and Miyamoto stated that the appearance of metal legs was a design choice rather than an indication that the legs were amputated; he wanted the character to appear more human, and was unaware of the issues faced by fighter pilots at the time. source: yeah... Wikipedia, but still I believe it.

Fox's legs weren't cut off. Miyamoto and others have stated that the metallic legs were a design choice, not a sign of amputation.

beetle the bard 713 id like to see you play fox and tell me he’s a top tier. A majority of his “combos” aren’t even true. His kill set ups are very reactionary and require good knowledge of the mechanics of this game. He may be top tier in terms of frame data, but you’ll get bodied in a tournament by a palu or Lucina if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing because they can just button mash.

ShmoozeEvolution From the highest lvl of play Id say Fox is high mid tier. His specials are horrible. His combos arent true. He does not have a single throw follow up, any good throws or even a good grab. If the enemy camps in shield on the ledge at "kill %" theres literally nothing Fox can do. Hes way too vulnerable to cheese / toxicity. Thos 2 you counted are even match ups. Fox literally 100% of the time loses to toxic characters if the skill lvl of both players are about equal. PacMan, G&W, Pikachu etc. straight up have free wins vs Fox because he literally has no tools to counter good characters. When it comes to honest gameplay he has his carrying dash attack, once someone starts throwing out degen hitboxes and camps at the same time Fox just gives up straight up. Trash character.

TQ BD he’s my fav character and main tho sadly. I just hate it when people say he gets free kill confirms. But what makes him good is the player and how they utilize his speed and mobility. Idky they couldn’t make his down throw combo.

Down gun also checks no-hitbox recoveries, Joker has great tools for edgeguard. To beat him, in My experience, it is better to use characters that exploits his weaknessess rather than ones who are not seceptible to his strenghts, or play the chu's which do both things at the same time

@@renegarcia2857 True he does switch to Lucina/marth for esam. arsene dair is way nasty also dair bair dgun and counter are crazy good for offstage. but some matchups you have to switch it feels like because if you can't recover then it's basically melee out there lol

He did a few times. The reason that he didn't do it more often was because he know that MkLeo would be able to predict it after a while. If he mixes it up, he has a chance to recover, versus the 0 percent chance that he would have just by illusioning to the ledge and getting beaten out by Joker bair evrry time.

Also, there are different kinds of round robins depending on the tournament. In Summits case, they just get placed differently in bracket. In other tournaments you straight up get eliminated if you don't make top 50% in pools. Round robins are way less time consuming and more manageable than bracket in some cases.

It's actually not video game logic, people who fly fighter jets have to where constricting suits to keep their blood flow in check due to the sudden changes in g forces. If they didn't they'd pass out. Do to avoid that the star fox crew just said to heck with legs and cut them off to avoid the constricting suits
