Really like the MK8 GTi content. I'm over the pond in the UK. I have the same model and spec as yours order but with the steering wheel on the order side. Mine will have a OPF from factory. The killer of nice exhaust sound. I think its the perfect daily driver, with enough power for the Sunday blast on the road, great all rounder. Keep up the content.

Rough pavement there are some very minor ones but overall it’s very sold and quiet!

Loving the pop pops. Just wondering, have you wrapped your car in PPF or any paint protection? I just took delivery of a 40th anniversary GTI a week ago and it already has a couple rock chips on the hood. I noticed that the paint is really thin.

I didn’t do the PPF. I have rock chips too.. I do a lot of highway driving…

Great video! Been wondering what car to get and I'm kinda torn between the MK7.5 and MK8 GTI. Used, the prices are relatively similar (28k for a 7.5 Autobahn vs 29k for a 8 SE) and both are manual. Slightly leaning towards the MK8 now but need to test drive them both back to back

Where you finding used mk8 for 29k? The ones I see are around 31-32 with 15-20k miles

mk8 gti's are definitely enticing, just waiting a few years till they're an affordable price. Really wanted an s3, but this seems like a better daily for the money.

I think car prices are projected to increase over the next few years. Unlikely they will ever drop. So I think now is the best time to buy a car.

@@masterslimes peak was in august, they're swinging down. I sell cars for a living, especially if interest rates continue to rise. Demand needs to be present for an overall increase in price, sure cars will get more expensive to produce, but used cars especially will depreciate more like they used to, and new cars will be sold for at or under msrp depending on the model. I hear your point though, but I was talking waiting a few years till a 2022 gti deprecates in value.

Yeah GTI gets my vote too. Or maybe the Type R if you could swing the extra few ponies. Idk about the Si, Honda lost my attention with those when they dropped the K series, and just moved it to the Type R with boost.

Does the lane keep assist annoy that much. Do you turn it off every time you drive it?

I do not understand. How is it that you have 176F throughout the entire video for the DSG temperature. Mine does not stay like that when I drive like this it goes up to 190+ perhaps my dsg is also not engaging in the shifts exactly fast like your too.

Any issues with lane assist errors or issues with the radio?

That less gas story is not true :p its very bad for your car. They add it for the ecosystem but if the motor is hot and than Falls out multiple time thats verry bad :p

@@JVette01 ill try again :p Im sorry Im not that well with my english :0 but I mean that when you where talking about the start stop system that you said you liked for the gas. But actually vw did that because they had to do it for the ecosystem.but that start stop systeem is actually verry bad for your car.. when You are driving with a hot temp engine and brake and stop for a sign or something else the engine stops like youu said but thats actually bad for your car… its bad to stop a hot engine and start it again over and over again. Actually the first thing You need to do is disable that start stop for the Health of the car… thats What Im trying to tell. I heard that from multiple car mechanics… and its especially bad when You are driving verry fast a few minuts and than stop at a red light, the cars engine. Stops and start again while its still hot
