The end result is amazing guys! The shifting feels so precise and crisp now. Highly recommend this kit for you old toyotas. Best $30 I've ever spent for my supra!

Glad to see the result was worth it for you. (You just experienced what I felt about 15yrs ago when I made the first 15 kits - absolutely mindblowing difference...)

Nice Job!! I need to change the shifter gasket, I have a pretty bad leak - when you dropped the tranny to access the 2 bolts in the back of the shifter, all you did was unscrew the 4 bolts at the bottom tranny support and lower the jack? Did you have to unscrew driveshaft or anything else? Thanks!

Appreciate the thorough review and love the drill used to clean up the socket for install! Fun fact - your transmission originally had a plastic layer inside that inner-most metal ring too. That fails first creating the initial slop that degrades the rest of the assembly from there.

that plastic layer was a pain in the ass to remove even with the lever arm completely removed from the gearbox. I didn't think of using a drill to clean it up either, just used old school pliers, that was fun...

Nice job.

Make sure to JB weld this in thoroughly. I have a transmission where the last owner had used silicone instead of JB and the bushing backed out of the hole and disintegrated. This led to carnage on the gear teeth, ruining the box.
