    Great video bro, love how the ST is coming along, love how you do loads of work yourself and love how you are not afraid to say when you made a mistake with a mod or f**ked something up whilst doing it. Keep doing what your doing, you are a big inspiration for me and my ST. Can't wait to see the car at a show/meet when the pandemic is over. ✌

    Came here for "GCM The PT, roll the intro", stayed for the grocery list lol. You did miss out a few things, but these are mentioned in one of your previous vids. Big-ups for the great content bro. Been here since not long after you got the ST and have been using it as inspiration for when I get mine (hopefully soon!) Take care and much love

    Yet another great vid george. As a st225 owner I know how expensive these cars are to own/run especially as mine seems like it needs a new engine. What you've done to yours is amazing. Def showing what can be done by ordinary folk. Bring on the 10k followers, won't be long if you keep chucking out the content you currently are. Big up gcmthept 🙌🙌

    Great vid mate, been with you from the start on it, I can say i'm addicted to the series lol. Me, I've been tackling the dreaded outer bushes on the rear control arms. They ALWAYS seize solid I'm told. Yep, mine were C U Next Tuesday'S to get out. Oxy Acetyline torch, angle grinder, cut off tool the lot. When those bolts weld to the bushes they really do a great job of it. Why they don't put something on the bolts on assembly I don't know. Anyway, it's done now and I've effectively 'opened up' the rear suspension system now so I can just dismantle and add goodies. Forgot to mention, I replaced the old worn out rubber bushes (Metalastic) with PSB poly bushes. Cheap as chips compared to the others, and for the money well worth a try. So far so good. Back end feels a little softer but it's holding the road better for sure. Poly bushes are effectively plain bearings with less friction than metalastic bushes. When fitting poly bushes you need slightly stiffer springs because they lessen the spring rate of the system. Look up metalastic bushes vs poly bushes on Google mate, it's an interesting bit of engineering knowledge, and will explain much better than I can here. It's all about increasing resistance as the rubber is stretched. Ooher missus. I'll be looking into a good mid priced suspension system soon. Thinking of the Bilsteins over the Koni STRT. Not sure I can afford a full coilover system, but anything stiffer and a little lower than standard will be good. Been a productive weekend. I also put a Pro Hoses (racing red no less) silicone turbo inlet pipe in to complete the Airtec group A system, and you'll be pleased to know I've taken out the bonnet duvet! The intake noise is awesome but even better is the blow off sound. I'm 51 going on 25 haha. Been a biker all my life so I'll never be sensible anyway. 😂😂😂. Cheers mate, enjoying immensely.

  • @adamrandell7946
    @adamrandell79464 жыл бұрын

    Should do the block mod just for peace of mind, the main cause is cooling which you don't hear much about as people say its random but its not. If you have leaky hoses, your pump loses pressure or goes completely it causes the liners to crack if it's not fixed immediately, the other issue is ovaling of the cylinder where it meets the head due to too much boost and its open deck design which is well known in that case. A good progressive boost tune and maintenance will get you by most of the time, I know guys running close to 350+hp for years with no block mod just a really good dyno tune and regular maintenance.
