What a sound dad and his motor is so sweet! You're a lucky guy!

I can proudly say this man is my dad. He also built a Mk1 Mexico before he made the Monscort. I feel privileged to say I have got to drive both of these cars but as he mentions the lakes tour, he takes the monscort and I get to take the Mexico and its so much fun! My husband did the wrapping of the bumpers as well as the black stripes. In October 2015, my dad took me to my wedding in this car, I found it funny hearing Adam telling dad to slow down whereas on my wedding day, dress stuffed everywhere and we drove to the venue sideways and I didn't want the journey to stop I was laughing so much, not only did my dad drive me to my wedding day, he allowed the monscort to be my wedding car also which we got some amazing pictures of the car....I could not be prouder, I just wish I had his brains rather than his heavy right foot 😅. And people commenting about hearing him talk for hours, I do...I love his stories and I get my birth story in great detail every year lol. Easy for me to say that he's a genuine humble guy cos he's my dad but he genuinely is and he trusted me to drive his pride and joy lol x

It’s a great car/impressive build but more importantly what a great guy ! Down to earth sensible and clearly a great engineer and fabricator ! Really enjoyed this video something a bit different . I love the fact he’s proud of using van tyres the sort of thing my dad would have done just to show what can be done. Tell him he’s a legend !

Old school we call ourselves at this age I too have done this all my life coming from meager beginnings we learned watched and had a go because we couldn’t afford to buy new or have what others had by finance etc My late farther and brother both taught me from a kid now 60 we are petrol heads till we scream tyres smokin to that high way in the sky 🇬🇧. Back in the day I've seen Escort mk1's with Ford v8's Rover v8's , Ford v6's Fiat twin cams you name it modding them with cheap bigger motors and parts from the scrappers was all part of the fun of owning one and it didn't cost you a forture either 👍

First car I drove solo once I passed my test was a mk2 Mondeo Ghia with the 2.5 v6, loaned to me by my Uncle whilst he was out of the country. Such a comfortable car, was like driving around in a big comfy arm chair. It was pokey too, considering how big it was, it ended up sorn in our back garden for years, dreamt about pulling that engine out and putting it into something a bit more sporting. Cracking car, if I had the skills i'd have built something similar, except it would be a Capri probably Thank god for blokes like this, showing the rest of us what can be done

What an amazing owner and amazing car. Watched most of Adams videos and this is one of my favourites, considering all the modifications and the different vehicles/parts used to make it, doesn't look like it has just been cobbled together.

Absolutely brilliant video and the knowledge of the man was incredible and then that Escort ... oh my oh my fill ya boots i didnt want the video to end 👍 I had a Mondy ST200 many years back and yes the engine is a little lethargic but trust me they are absolute bullet proof and a pure motorway cruise missile which can sit at well above legal speeds with effortless ease so now with the supercharger fitted this is what Ford should of done to them from the factory. On a different note hope all is well Adam and the move is going smoothly mate. 👍

Alot of people don't rate V6 engines but they are so smooth and balanced and with a supercharger and the water injection they are a very good set-up and i have a GILBERN INVADER MK3 with the Essex 3.0 and I would love to switch to a setup like this, I used to have a MK1 Mexico but it was stolen and never found, same colour and wheels as Alan's.

I really enjoyed that, wonderful to hear how this came together 👍🏻, shame the purists just don’t appreciate this guys amazing talent for building this Monscort, well done on another great video Adam 👍🏻
