    MJF is 100% right when he talks about investing the fans in his matches. Why wouldn't you want a monster pop for just delivering a clothesline and not have to destroy your body doing swantons from the rafters onto barbed wire-wrapped flaming tables? MJF is wise well beyond his years.

    That first 2 minutes of MJF's take on what wrestling should be is spot-on. I do think emotional investment triumphs raw stunts, and when the raw stunts do happen, it would hit much harder. Case and point, MJF's feud with CM Punk.

    Tony Kahn without the fear of God on his face by what MJF is saying is something I'm really not use to see in a Media Scrum with these two. Babyface'ish MJF is a real treat. Jokes aside, he's totally right. AS much as I actually like the "flip flops" and the hard hitting stuff I can't help but smile about the way MJF makes you care for the simplest of moves just because he's an AMAZING character worker and commands the crowd like very very few. It's different flavors that make wrestling so great and I very happy to be able to see this great moment of the business.

    I didn't give a bleep about wrestling for almost 12 years, and now it feels like a new Attitude Era. Both companies will profit from this. For myself, AEW is the league to watch, but even WWE fans have to admit that AEW is making their product better by generating the first serious competition since the nWo era WCW. IMHO, MJF is the far better King of the Mountain compared to Roman Reigns. The only WWE guy who could truly challenge this state of affairs is L.A. Knight. If WWE pushes him the right way.

  • @ModernDayRenaissanceMan

    MJF & LA Knight are the 2 best yes. I also stopped from 2006 - 2021. That being said WWE is the superior product storyline wise, which matters most. AEW has the occasional banger of a match but they lose too much potential because of ZERO story. It's a botch by them. Also it's not even close to the Attitude Era.

  • @hansimaier01

    @hansimaier01

    @@ModernDayRenaissanceMan Yeah, nah... Storytelling can happen within a match. MJF vs. Adam Cole in London was a masterclass in that regard. I just don't like these short 12 minute PPV matches that WWE seems to put on these days (I rewatched the Pitch Black Match when Bray Wyatt died - it wasn't a good match at all). WWE is wrestling entertainment for a younger audience, AEW is pro wrestling for (nostalgic) adults mostly. I also really enjoy their openness to bring in Japanese wrestlers, luchadores, etc... The roster is always open, and that's a good thing.

    Well... nice to see MJF's true colors since his debut with AEW... I criticized him massively trying to finally see those colors but hey... I just hope for him he keeps on relying on those colors rather than being still the not fully legit pro wrestler he was looking and sounding alike when I criticized him and in this media scrum session he made an admission to me at least... he sucks in portraiting a gimmick and he should focus more on being just himself and bringing himself out into that ring. I wasn't expecting anything else that that when I criticized him. Pro Wrestling Entertainment is not made for and by pretenders. Ask Chris Jericho! PS: For those who don't understand why I named Jericho... well... I've been watching Pro Wrestling for over 40 years by now and I can tell we're talking about a Pro Wrestler Entertainer who, as we all know or are supposed to know always reinvented himself, has *always brought a new side of himself* and of his rich personality in his so many "gimmicks" and always sounded 100% legit in every single word he spoke during his legendary career just by doing exactly that!

    Tony better empty his piggy bank to keep this man in AEW for a few more year we all know he eventually wants to go to WWE but a few more years of mjf in AEW won’t hurt.

    MJF should be on Roman Reigns / Cena money in AEW. The only salary I don't think he'd get would be Brock Lesnar money. Then again if Brock wanted to jump ship he'd have to offered more than he was on in WWE, what was it 12 million in WWE?

    @@beerbug2020You heard of the expression contract negotiations, he can layout what he wants from WWE and if he doesn't like it he can resign with All Elderly Wrestling. 😂

    @@TheCheshireCat. keep telling yourself that PG WWE won't want this MJF and you honestly think if he went to WWE they would let him beat the likes of Roman, Seth, gunter clean? You make jokes all elderly wrestling isn't it the WWE that rely on hall of famers to prop them up. No point getting salty about AEW your clearly a fanboy of WWE. I like WWE but it's boring atm
