You give the belt to a lesser heel than transition to the next Face Champion. You want a great heel to keep chasing the belt everywhere he goes, so he keeps the house full. That's the reason, Paul Orndorff never was champion, he chased the belt against Hulk Hogan from coast to coast with record crowds to this day, i think for almost 5 years. Paul became a Face for a short time, than betrayed Hulk, so they could reignite the feud again to go for several more years! Superstar Graham is the perfect example of making a great heel a Champion, he held it for a short time, than when he lost, it was over for him, he was done, never had the same success again!

Sure, Ric Flair is famous because of his heel runs and yes, Eddie Guerrero was also popular even before his first face turn. But at least they don't need to be a heel anymore. And Charlotte would've remain as face if Ric Flair didn't screwing his own daughter by messing around with Lacey Evans (but thanks God she's not pregnant with Ric's child). Nevertheless, that doesn't make MJF the best. Cause rather there is a best heel or not and it doesn't matter how talented he is, MJF is the worst wrestler not just in AEW history, but obviously in the entire wrestling history.
