Ойындар

In the last few days Miyoo have just released an update to the firmware for the Miyoo Mini, and it's a BIG update And the good news is that it's not just an update for the stock setup but also includes an update for custom firmware as well, and Onion specifically. So in this video I'm going to take you through how to get it, how to install it, we'll look at what's new, and compare the new firmware with the old. And at the end of this I'll answer the question of how big a difference does it make, and should you bother? Install onion os and you will see the difference !the original miyoo software is good too ,but with the latest version of onion os you you will elevate your miyoo mini emulation to a higher level, all consoles including ps1 are emulated to perfection, even heavy titles like bloody roar 2 run very well. For snes games use core mednafen supafaust and you will see heavy titles like biometal, starfox, yoshi's island 2 etc ... they will run perfectly, stable 60fps and perfect audio!the latency setting is very important ,put it to 128ms in audio settings ,use oss driver audio with sinc and lower settings in resampler section. With theese settings the audio is perfect .in my opinion the miyoo mini is an extraordinary console, the miyoo hit the mark, definitely the most interesting console of 2022!

I've got Onion OS on my other Miyoo Mini, and they've done a fantastic job with it. I'm also a big fan of Retroarch as well. So Onion OS on the Miyoo Mini should be the perfect combo for me. But it's not. Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but there are a few things that bug me when compared to stock. I love that on stock all I need to remember is one button, the menu button, to get access to everything I need to load, save, quit, and do anything else I need to do with the game I'm playing. With Onion I'm into button combos, and having to remember which they are. A lot of things that are simple on stock on Onion they are multi-step actions, scrolling through options etc. Then there are the save and load states. On Onion (and Retroarch) I'm never sure if I've already saved into a particular slot and regularly end up overwriting mine by accident. On stock I press the menu button, choose save, and I can see thumbnails showing me the save states I already have so I always know instantly where I am. Performance wise, I've not had an issue with stock, but I still need to do more testing on the latest firmware. I agree with you, it is an extraordinary console, and it's great that we can have alternative front ends to cater for every taste. Will you be updating to the latest firmware to use with Onion?

@@RetroGamesWorld Guessing you know about this by now, but you might like MiniUI. It has a lot of the performance advantages but it's focused on being dead simple. Downside is the only official cores are NES / SNES / Genesis / PS1 and the game boys,, although there's some community-made cores as well.

I'm pretty sure the NERV logo is a custom charging screen to replace the normal green battery one, not sure why that one pops up in a skin that isn't the Eva one though, but it would imply that you had upgraded properly. Odd that your file browser was still in Chinese. Mine wasn't but maybe I didn't look at it until after I swapped to Onion. The menu says "system: select all, select none, disk info, quit." Selecting a folder gives you "# selected: Copy>, Move>, Symlink>, Rename>, Delete>, Disk used"

Isn't that what this video covers? I can understand your concern, but honestly it's a straightforward process if you just follow what I did, and more importantly follow the instructions in the text file that I mention in the video. I considered doing a written guide, but the problem is that the update process can potentially change with each release, so I'd be forever having to keep it up to date, and if it was out of date by even a day then potentially I could be giving someone the wrong info to do their update. I figured it is better to show people what is current and explain (as I have in this video) that checking the documentation for the firmware is a good idea, before attempting to install it.

Onion is an alternative front end for the Miyoo Mini. It relies on stock firmware to work. Same with the other alternatives. A lot of people (myself included) sometimes refer to them as custom firmware, but they are really just front ends.

What size card are you trying to format? Windows built in format option only allows cards up to 32GB when it comes to FAT32, but if you use a free utility such as GUIformat, or Rufus (the one I prefer) then you can format much bigger cards as FAT32 without the restrictions that Microsoft impose. From what I can remember there was some mention about formatting in the description for the video. You should find a link where to download Rufus in there somewhere.
