Your content is so good for showing a practical application of modal playing. Modes can sometimes be daunting for beginning musicians, so it’s good to see it applied to something tangible like full music rather than solo rudiments and scales.

I like the Mello feel of this Brother Jermaine, most of all how you break it down while still leaving me room to interpret the mixolydian notes...very progressive in simplifying these music theory modes, and making it fun...Kudos Brother Jermaine P.S. and not calling every note is an ingenious way of letting my ear develope, some may not pick up on it, I do💯💯💯👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🎸🎸🎸

This reminds me a lot of a song called Erin by The Omnific... which is strange because then it makes me think that progressive metal has gone so far it's come back to being indistinguishable from gospel.

I don't know about that my friend, heavy metal and gospel don't intermingle in my musical rolodex, I will keep in mind how Gospel is the root of R&B, which led to R&R, which led to heavy metal...thats my best connection, it is art and the beauty of art is in the eye, or ear, of the beholder...strange connection 💯💯💯🎸🎸🎸

Ok, I had to give Erin a listen...first It didn't sound like heavy metal, not the heavy metal I've been accustomed to hearing. Which was actually a relief, I caught their progressions in 3rds, which is the only link to my ears, cool bruh💯💯💯🎸🎸🎸

What is progressive metal? Just asking, as a musician I like to hear good music, and Erin is a beautiful composition💯💯💯🎸🎸🎸

@@HillBassplayer There's a huge range and also a lot of different names for it but if I had to pick a few songs that define it for me I'd pick G.O.A.T. by Polyphia, Selenium Forest by Plini, and The Unknowing by Omnium Gatherum
