Greg is a very nice guy and his attitude is one to learn from. I met him once when he was working with Scott Stapp. They came in my studio to do a live to radio simulcast. I politely offered him my console after the sound check but he pretty much let me do my thing for the whole show. He's quite the gentleman.

Hello Greg I just went to a Duran Duran concert with some ladies from work and the feedback was not so good for the sound! I was telling them how great you made everyone sound on stage and how spoiled I was going to all of your concerts!! Nice video Greg love it 🥰 Jeannette Boxall Moon

So instead of using the mixing board to control the effects, its a laptop that does the major work? How is the laptop connected to the mixing board?

46:50 you don't boost only 3dB but "3 points". That reflects to aprox. 7dB of real boost. Check that by your RTA. Many of Waves plugins cheats there i.e logarithmic knobs in EQ. You move a little but have bigger than indicated result and you say "whoo! this is real EQ!, only 3dB and that effect! wow!"

he might know what he is talking about but he is terrible at explaining anything technically. its all ego and subjective conjecture. ther is nothing here worth listening to. there is a reason that his go to "presets" he goes to, are presets of other talented engineers.
