I did sound last night in a bingo hall for a 4 piece acoustic band with an 8 channel mixer... I think I need to upgrade to a system like this.

Very Cool ! Thanks for the tour ! 40 years in " the grind" with Maiden as the TOP !! Very inspirational indeed ! I also grew up on early Maiden and mix most of our stuff to what I think they should sound like . I saw them back in like 86 and learned then and there ( Dayton's Hara Arena ) that many speakers set at a lower volume are great , it does not have to rip your head off to get the point across . that was the best sounding show I saw all year !

Like the enthusiasm this guy generates. Vast amount of knowledge. Flashback. Slave tour. Hammy O. Second night. Aces kicks in. Steve’s bass twang was cutting through everything. Steve was always in the mix but on this night, his bright bass twang was insanely loud and I loved it. Yup. His fingering was spot on.(Please do not take that last sentence into another dimension). Everyone knows Steve’s a master on the bass but to be able to hear him cut through everything on that night and hear him clearly was great and you appreciate his talents even more. Other punters down my row, hated Steve’s twang. You’ll always hear the guitars, vocals, drums but the bass guitar tone isn’t always audible in the mix during a show. Of course, Lemmy, Cronos (don’t laugh), Cliff, Thin Lizzy Legend, Phil Lynott, and others always made a point of being louder, FoH than the guitars, which must have caused a few fights. Ha.

I am from Lititz PA. Home of Clair Global, the sound guys. Yeah, a lot is in the box these days with Live and studio sound. I never bought any of Clair's equipment they have unloaded but I have seen DBX 160 VUs and other great vintage hardware gear for sale from them. Ken has the usual suspects of audio software on different channels replacing the hardware. That is why he states just basic stuff but what he does is not basic. I wonder what he used the M7s for. Probably Bruce's vox and backup vocals. . I guess the M7s took over the 480L work. He does have a Lexicon PCM 96. Hats off to FOH engineers. You guys are artists also.

Be it musicians with their rigs, bands in general with their styles, music-consumers either going all digital (not even a stereo system) or back to Vinyl even, photographers either having the latest digital cameras or going back to film-cameras, even in cars and such... It's just everywhere and that's cool.

Tommy Nikiforov 29.5 the mix was amazing!! Best Maiden mix by far that I’ve witnessed so far! ...KSE was so muddy you barely could tell the tunes apart...

Holy shit!!!! 😱. Plug in, crank it, and get it on. Playing live has apparently gone insane. This is redicously unreal. But👍👍👍👍.

I was wondering what ll those screens around him were for? Bearing in mind the screens on the desk itself...

They are for showing him what ever he need visuals for, like: All the cues for the show, plugins, virtual soundcheck, multitrack recording of the show, controls of the FOH amps and speakers and so on. The whole setup is digital and is controlled mostly from a mouse or the consoles very few controllers. So the monitors give him visuals for what he’s doing and what is going on with the gear.
