The main issue that you're likely to face when mixing piano with vocals is getting them to sound cohesive and work well together without them masking each other and becoming muddy.
I show you how to achieve this by making use of EQ and compression. I also make use of side-chain compression for a balanced mix. Finally I show you how to make use of reverb and delay for a smooth and realistic ambience.

Did you warm up before tracking?
You're not gonna tune the vocal at all? I mean that's a taste thing i guess, but this particular vocal feels like it needs it

I tuned them a bit I think but it was 4 years ago so I don't remember lol. It was at the very top of my range really this song as you can probably tell.
