Mixing Cat Litters

Mixing 2 or more cat litters can potentially create a better litter than the individual litters themselves.
It is particularly advantages to blend a fine grain litter with a more coarse one, such as Dr. Elsey's Ultra + Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal. I suggest mixing only a little of Arm and Hammer with Dr Elsey's. Maybe about 10‰ being Arm & Hammer.
I discovered the mix of the corn litters and tofu litter by accident and coincidence of testing and reviewing multiple cat litters. I've been on a mission to find the ultimate cat litter for me my cats and my litter box invention. I wasn't satisfied with the corn based litters (especially was let down by LitterMaid Corn Cob Litter), but did not want to toss them out and waste them... so I mix them together and created a better litter! TofuKitty Club litter is currently too expensive for me to buy again. it gets used up quickly (poor absorbancy/ volume) but I didn't want to waste it either and dumped the remaining litter with the corn litter which improved its mix yet again.

I mix pine with rice litters and it works great. The rice litter is softer on the paws and the pine is great for oder control. Both work great in a sifting litter box as they are both pellets, just the rice one is smaller than the pine.

So which mix do you now consistently use? How much do you add if each? Thank you

Still testing different litters, there's just too many 😹. But so far Dr Elsey's is still my cats' most preferred. Currently I have it mixed with Garfield 3x and 2$ clumping litters. Garfield has the strongest clumping power of any litter I've tested yet. If your looking for a plant based bio litter that clumps well, you definitely got to give it a try. I imagine it'd be great to mix with another bio litter like world's best (since most of them have weak clumps) I've started a separate specified cat channel. Cats & Fluff. Check out Garfield litter review there and more moving forward. Though I do have a plan to give away one of my litter boxes in the future here on Byromie... I just got to find time to build it 🙀 Garfield litter review on Cats & Fluff kzread.info/dash/bejne/c46K28iSgbaqfLg.html

I was responding to another person and decided to respond to you again as well as an update. I've recently found grass litters ('Smart Cat All Natural Clumping Litter" and Frisco brand grass litters) to be super awesome for a bio clumping litter. It's affordable too. I think grass litters would be a fantastic choice to boost the clumping power of World's Best or any other average or bellow average clumping litter. It's very lightweight too. You can try half and half. Or if you're worried about just mixing a large amount you can test mixtures in a bowl first.

Hi, my black Kitty is always covered with the world’s best after he went to the litter box, do you see the same issue?

I didn't use World's Best very long, especially by itself. I've recently found grass litters ('Smart Cat All Natural Clumping Litter" and Frisco brand grass litters) to be super awesome for a bio clumping litter. It's affordable too. I think grass litters would be a fantastic choice to boost the clumping power of World's Best. With that said, I didn't notice my cats being covered with the litter. I'm thinking that one of two things might be happening with you and your cat. 1. Your cat might be rolling in the litter? 2. Your litter box might be too small and confined. Your cat may not have sufficient room to move litter around without it hitting the sides of the box and bouncing back on your cat. An average housecat will pull dirt from an area big enough to form an 18 inch diameter circle and bigger.
