The mixed media basics video series came about because I found I was getting a lot of questions on how I learned how to use some of the mixed media supplies. I thought a series needed to be created covering all the basic mediums and supplies that are most used by the mixed media artist. Some of those I will be covering in the upcoming months will be Gesso, Glazing Medium, Modeling Paste, Basic Texture Paste.
Mixed media basics will come out on the odd numbered months. So, January, March, May, July, September and November. Technique Tuesday will still be coming out monthly but on the even months. Such as February, April, June, August, October and December.
Some of the details I will be covering will be: what the product is used for or why it’s used, a comparison of products in both quality and price point as well as possible tips n’ tricks of using it.
