Anxiety is keeping me up late. Watching your video helped calm me. Too late to haul out all the art stuff. I'm supposed to journal every day to get better....... THIS is the way that will actually help! Thanks for sharing your creativity. Now I know what to do with the very old books from garage sales that I treasure.

@ jazlucy and Danielle, Acrylic paint sometimes gunks up my pens. Although when I wash it down with water as I did here, it doesn't seam to do that. The stick tints are soft pastels. They leave a chalk like layer of color that is hard on my pen tips also. It seams to dry them out. That's why I spray the fixative. It ads a layer between the mediums that so they play together better. :)

Oh really!!! So entertaining and amazing!! What was the base coat made of that you first applied? Was it a tinted gesso? After you made the pastel images you sprayed it with a workable fixative and then you painted acrylic on top of it, used pencils, black ink and stamps... Later you used collage to make the cut outs of the text stick to the page. You even used sticky stamps!! Then you lightly shaded around them. I did not know you could apply a workable fixative a top chalk pastels and create such fantastic work. I loved the textures you added with the black ink pen. For me it was a tutorial and I subscribed, but I would like to know what the base coat was made of. Very creative and beautiful. It looked like you knew exactly what you wanted to do.
