    My hydroponic journey began approximately two months ago when I stumbled upon your instructional videos. I eagerly followed your guidance and planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and a variety of peppers 🌶️. It brings me immense joy whenever I gaze upon the flourishing plants. However, I have recently encountered a challenge. All the plants have entered the flowering stage, but I've yet to see any signs of fruit production. The flowers simply keep dropping. Is there a possibility that I might be overlooking something crucial in this process?

    I have a 5 gallon bucket. So I add 40ml of both. How often do you add more nutrients or change the water? I have the pump running roughly 5 hs on and off throughout the day. Mostly, lettuce and cilantro.

  • @healinghobbies

    @healinghobbies

    Жыл бұрын

    That is correct 40ml both A & B Solution in 5 gallons of water. Adding nutrients will depend on what system/set up, the size of reservoir and how many plants you are growing. For instance, I have a vertical tower with 48 plants (mostly leafy greens and some dwarf tomatoes and strawberries) with 5 gallon bucket reservoir and the pump is running 5mins ON 45mins OFF in Spring season. I refill when it's half full at least once a week. However, in summer months, due to increased evaporation caused by the heat, the pump runs for 3 minutes ON and 15 minutes OFF. Reservoir refill is at least 2x a week or when necessary. Another factor to consider is as the plant matures they will take up a lot of nutrients too. Some set up like Kratky in a 5 gallon styroboxes filled with about 3-3.5 gallons of nutrient solution with 15 leafy greens like lettuce, bok choy and other leafy greens. No refill is needed up to harvest. I hope this helps!🌱🙂

    Yes as long as it's water soluble. It will work with leafy greens however result may vary with fruit plants since it has less P (Phosphorus) & K (Potassium) components which are essential for flowering and fruit development. Nevertheless, if that's the only resources available it would be fun to give it a try and experiment. I hope this helps! All the best and Happy Gardening!🌱🙂

    It varies depending on the type of the plants and the size of your container or reservoir. With leafy greens, if you have one gallon that would be sufficient for a head of lettuce. For fruiting plants like tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and others. If you are growing in 5 gallon bucket. You may need to refill nutrients at least 2-3x a week when they start to bear fruit as they takes up a lot of nutrients. I hope this helps!🌱🙂

    So at the end of the video you have 1gal vs 5 gal solution mixtures….I’d imagine then that the NPK, CN, and MS mixtures are also different depending on how much water you put in it? To further explain, you’re no longer using the same amount of dry ingredients to make the A & B solution since it’s not then getting poured into a 5 gal container then right? If I don’t want 5 gallons of the finished product I’d hate to have to use the same amount of NPK, MS, and CN then to make the A & B solution
