SpeedLab I have a 2018 sti tuned with mods and invidia q300 3inch turbo back with a cat and unichip. I was thinking of removing the catalytic converter since the oxygen sensor is before the cat. Would I need to retune if I go catless? The q300 down pipe exhaust has the sensor before the cat closer to the engine

You said that there is no temperature sensor on the intake and that is false. I own a 2008 cy2a lancer and You are correct to say that there's no MAF sensor after the air box but the car does carry a MAP/manifold absolutely pressure sensor after the throttle body on the intake manifold. The job of the MAP sensor is to measure the air temperature and also the air pressure going into the manifold.

I am a certified mitsubishi technician and I'm telling you that the map sensor on the lancer measures both air pressure and air temperature, perhaps you should take a look at the mitsubishi service manual. My question to you is how then does the air temperature gets measured?
