I have this 2008 1.3, 5 door version bug and i love it. Easy to maintain and very good city car. It feels really spacious inside and i like the fact that you can take out or fold the back seats to transport a lot of things: it basically transforms into a little van. The only negative things that I have noticed are: 1. the car suspension is quite rigid so when you go over bumps in the road you will really feel them (however, in the past years it became "softer" which is good); 2. the A-pillar (i think it is called) is pretty thick which limits the vision and creates a blindpot. Other than this, I fully recommend it.

I have got a 1.1 now. My advice is change a timing chain more often than 100k km and if you need to add more than 0,5 liter of engine oil per 1000 km, ask for piston rings change. Block is way more reliable and will last many longer. Do not wait, I’ve learned that the hard way (my cylinder head too) 😅 There are also advantages. It really drives like a bumlebee and goes more than 50 mpg in a warm day at a non-hiway speed

Had 2 of these, in uk 1.3 and in Spain 1.1 . Tbh I much preferred the 1.1. Both though utterly reliable. The 1.1 did 55 mpg.i went all over Spain in it given it was 10 yrs old. Loved the sound of 3 cylinder engine, cruised happily at 120kmh. Comfortable and left for months on end. Arrive in Spain after 6 months. Turn key reliable

I've got the Colt Ralliart 1.5L turbo version modified to 160KW and it's loads of fun. I'm thinking of putting a bigger turbo on it when I have the cash. Can't wait

My colt 1.1 2008 kicks in low revs or if I change the gear too early. I know any car would do that but in colts it seems to happen way more frequently.

My second car, but would be more correct to say first as i bought it completely on my own. I've had it since last year august, a 1.3 CZ3, love the contrast of the black outside with teh red seats, too bad the previous owner did not take proper care of it and tehre's some dirt i just can't seem to remove, both inside and outside. My main issue currently is the airbag light is always on as if the passenger's airbag was not active, but it is, and just today the display button to change the display mode has stopped working, but honestly i can't complain for a car from 2006, especially after it made me do a trip from the Netherlands to Italy and back in just a few days.

Great little car ....The A piller is dangerous !! Changing the front lights on the passenger side sees you removing a little flap in the wheel arch, removing a light cover then removing the bulb ... A tad awkward.

hi all, currently im owning a '05 suzuki swift 1.3 GS,(keyless entry and all that stuff) its a good low cost car but i want to sell it because the seats are just awful. Is it any better in the colt? I'd use most of my time in city so road noise doesn't really concern me. personally i would go for the 1.5 non turbo colt but dont know if thats the best engine (maintanance wise) sorry if i talked too much or something stupid.

For city road go for 1.3 engine with closed eyes! Decent power 95 horse power with absolute reliability and basic maintenance only!

This is my first car, I have the NA 1.5L Gas Engine, I love it, but I didn't know the fact that the reverse gear doesn't have a synchronizer, so I heard that crunch or grinding noise many times, I thought it was a problem with the clutch, but my question is did I wore down the transmission reverse gears internally if I did it many times?
