this fits shinobu 1. she hides anger and sadness under her sweet “smile” 2. i think all she wanted was to live a nice happy life with her family and they get taken away from her 3. she sacrifices her self and fights an upper moon, even tho she can’t cut off a demons head 4. doesn’t she put/inject poison into herself because if she ever gets eaten by a demon the poison could slow them down or take damage (and again she was sacrificing herself)

Kanao and the butterfly girls saw Shinobu as Kanae. “Why not me?” Why couldn’t Shinobu be like the other hashira, why couldn’t she be strong enough to cut off a demon’s head? Why couldn’t she grow stronger or taller? She was always angry and sad deep down inside and yet she hid it all with a smile. Inside her heart was shattered and torn apart. She sacrificed so much, including herself. She deserved so much better :(
