OMG Greg this had me crying here. This hits home. I come from a military family and this makes me appreciate and feel blessed that both my Dad and Brother came back as a whole person.

The soldiers most likely got a service animal to help them cope. Same as as blind person or deaf. The dogs that are overseas that retire will most likely get put up for adoption rarely get reunited with the soldier that they fought with though.

Damn brother thank you for doing this one. I am an Afghanistan Combat Vet. This song hits it every time. You never figure out how to take it off.

I am glad that you finally got to this song and to answer your question about service dogs some are prescribed by doctors others are thru programs like wounded warrior project and some of us have to find and have a dog trained to since the anxiety stress levels emotions and other different things that they can be trained for that is why our dogs have do not pet on them when they are wearing their vest and some of us spend thousands of dollars to have them trained and certified as service animals

A lot of the dogs they're usually bomb-sniffing dogs mine sniffing dogs and if you retire before your dog you can put in to get the dog when it retires which is a big hassle because someone else gets the dog until it retires so depends on how much paperwork you want to go through this is why we need to respect our military personnel and soldiers God Bless America🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
