My favourite Mitch Hedberg joke: “I saw a commercial on late night TV, it said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, but I didn't know what the hell they were!”

What I really appreciate it is the quality especially the Late Night material how it is DVD quality instead of from a VHS tape recorded in mono in EP mode. I appreciate the others that dig up this material but this channel brings new life to it.

“…and the next one up is pineapple!” My favorite joke in this video! 😂❤
absolute legend
"I have a roll of lifesavers in my pocket and pineapple is next." So simple and on paper it shouldn't read as a joke, but Mitch had a way of turning stuff like that into something funny.
The best comedy set.
“Slam the flap” had me laugh out loud. He was a funny dude

At this point in his short career he had hit the sweet spot with his style. RIP funny guy.
Great shame he passed so young, when he was on he was great, listen to his albums about twice a year, know every word, still love it.
Early audiences weren't prepared for subtle "in your face" bluntness. I think that's why Mitch's jokes get better with time.

Interesting that you put Richard Lewis up there, he's amazing. I got to see him once live doing a full set when I was a teenager a long time ago. I remember it being hilarious. He brought notes that he'd refer to, like an outline, that he'd look at occasionally on the podium. But here's the funny thing.... he'd go off on a tangent, then he'd go off on another tangent off the first tangent, and he'd do this a few times (insanely hilarious of course), then when he was completely off course he'd re-orient himself by glancing back at his outline 😂 A unique process which worked perfectly. Stephen Wright, well he's the king of the deadpan delivery. Mitch had the straightforward comedy lines but a much more fun cadence and repoire with the audience. Good picks all!

Uh Oh the bug man's here, I gotta hide!
I've been hit in the ass with a golf ball before...doesn't really hurt but it surprises the hell out of you...we used to play yard golf all summer in school...2 ravioli cans were the holes. The rusted remains might still be there if you could figure out where they are. I have a very rough idea where but ain't gwine dig my yard up to find them. If memory serves one way was par 4 the other 5 because of trees in the way.
" rice is great if you like eating 10,000 of something."

i hadn't heard a few of these 🥹🥹 oh man, made my day ❤ RIP Mitch
HA! Hedberg is fuuny, but some of his jokes go over my head, like the Blackjack and duck jokes. I don't play cards so that's probably why. What's up with the 10, 2, and king maybe later
as a boomer, he has a few funny ones, but i don't get it, the same way as my parents didn't get Steve Martin in the 1970's
I used to think he looked down because his eyes were sensitive to bright stsge lights. It makes sense now that I learned he had stage fright. Later he probably wore the sun glasses to make it seem like he was just light sensitive.
That we couldn't keep him live , I feel, I every fan of comedy's fault. I can't explain it and I am sorry for expressing it.
