I think that what people are forgetting is the fact that Emmett (Ashley’s husband) died in the hands of candy’s husband, who found out of the affair and went there to confront Emmett and Candy. So Ashley is not just hurt of Emmetts infidelity with Candy, she also says her part in his death and her lack of remorse, it’s what truly is hurtful. She lied under oath for her husband, agreeing with “his side of the story”. Robert (Candy’s husband) says he went there to confront them, Emmett got violent and he shot Robert and then Robert shot Emmett. However, evidence has proven that Emmett had no gun residue in his hands, only Robert did and Robert’s injuries seemed self inflicted. So Candy claims she didn’t see how everything went down. But that she agrees with her husbands story, saying it was Emmet who was violent. So she was trying to remove herself from the situation she had created to begin with. Ashley says it on dr phill, “you wanted them both to fight for you”. So to her this confrontation was flattering, of course she might not know her husband intended to kill that night, but she knew things were turning violent between the husband and the lover. Of course for the affair both parties are to blame, Emmett hurt Ashley by cheating but since Candy was in Ashley’s life and her children’s life as the husband friend and colleague, there’s also an element of betrayal from Candy to Ashley; Ashley also said it on this clip, she says “you knew me and my children, you asked to babysit my children, you held my newborn…”. If Emmet was still alive of course that Ashley would ask him to say sorry to her. But he is dead, so she’s asking just for what’s right frommCandy, to acknowledge her part in the affair and her part in the tragic death and the trial.

Yes, I agree it takes both, and both are horrible people. But people always put much more of the blame in the mistress, rather than the husband… The husband is the one who is suppose to love you and respect you and wanna spend the rest of your life with you. The mistress owes you nothing but “respect for your fellow woman”. If my husband cheated on me, he’d be the one I’d blame the most and the one I’d be more disappointed at, and the one I’d never wanna see again or trust again. The husband would be the one I’d never ever forgive. (Would I be friends with the mistress or even wanna talk to her? absolutely not, but she is nothing, she’s just the “object” of the husband’s disrespect, and that’s it).

  • @Mariana-ed2kt

@@kayperez7203 yes, which makes her a horrible person, as I said. But still, the wife is giving the impression that everything is the mistress' fault. Not her husband's. I get the impression that if her husband had not been killed, she would only blame the mistress for the cheating and stay with the husband anyway, (because she wouldn't want to break up the family) That makes me so mad because, well, it was the husband who broke the family up, not any of the women involved. It's that notion that the mistresses are the "homewreckers" that bothers me. To me, the married people who cheat are the "homewreckers"! He was the one who had a family and that decided to piss on that and go cheat. Because, even if the "potential mistress" said "no", the minute that the husband is actively trying to seduce another woman, to me, he has already "wrecked the family". He's the one responsible. He was the one who ruined it. She was the "object he used" to ruined that with. I get that both the husband and the mistress are terrible people and didn't care about wrecking his family, but it was the husdand's choice to cheat on HIS wife. (the mistress ruined HER own family as she was also married). When you are the one taking vows, and then cheat: don't blame the mistress. Blame yourself.

Because she betrayed the wife as well by personally involving herself with her family. She watched her children while sleeping with the husband behind her back. Some guts the mistress has. Are you suggesting we dig up the dead husband’s grave and confront him as well? No one said it’s not his fault either. It’s both of them. Not one more than the other. Both are disgusting humans with no dignity. The mistress is only sorry she got caught on national TV. If she was so sorry she wouldn’t have continued the cheating so many times to the point things ended the way it did. When Emmett kissed Kandi, her first thought should have been "What is he doing? He's my boss and he's a married man! I'm a married woman! What is wrong with him? How dare he do that?!" It shouldn't have been "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!" If she had been "sorry since day one," then she would have put a stop to things on the day he first kissed her. She wouldn't have given into him. And the fact that not one member of the audience applauded when she entered the room? That should tell her something about how they feel about her. The only person who isn't disgusted by her behavior is Kandi herself. I don't think Kandi is sorry. Her attitude says it all. So does that little head shake of her when she claims that she's been "sorry since day one." If she were sincere, she would have nodded her head. Shaking your head indicates that you're saying "no." I think she is a very selfish person who feels no remorse.

came here from Kendell Rae's video and this just made my blood boil. Seeing her sit there and be so unremorseful and act almost as if she's proud is just so upsetting to me. Ashley is such an amazing woman and i wish her all the good life has to offer.

The husband was married. And he instigated the relationship. Women should blame the man they are married to.

I saw a short clip on tiktok that brought me here. A man willing to do this, I could never feel sorry for. Having kids & going through pregnancy half the time sucks. To give up your life & career to support your husband & have his kids just for this to happen is so sick. If a man ever did this to me & this happened, I honestly wouldn’t feel bad at all. Now she has to raise all these kids on her own at the time & deal with the fact that she was being cheated on. This is just a sign that if you let a man run over you, he will do that. The moment he was going to “Walgreens” passing by with attitude would be the moment their would have been a divorce is play. Simply divorce, cheating & keeping it a secret is so childish & dumb. Go ahead spill it & move on. Girls who have affairs with marry men do not care. That women didn’t owe her loyalty, he did. Yes, she’s messy for it. But, the actions that destroyed it all was her husband. If it wasn’t this women he would of been over someone else.

It’s so sad that the wife seems to not blame her husband at all. If she honestly believes that it was her husbands first affair, she is delusional. It’s so obvious that he had been cheating for years

I’m sure she realizes he is culpable, but he is dead. Candy is the only responsible party around. Put yourself in the wife’s shoes. It makes sense she would want to discuss and hopefully get some closure.
