Instead of the hot sauce, I usually ask for grilled onions. Never gets old and is a great combination of toppings

Mine uses old oil causing the ff to be black and taste nasty. The manager called them brown, but I know black from brown, dummy. I don’t eat there, I go elsewhere.

I like the hot dogs as they are cut in half and grilled.

Bacon cheese dog with grilled onions is my jam.

The proper way to eat a five guys burger is a double cheeseburger all the way and a small fry

I worked at five guys for some months the fry can be perfect if the right person is cooking them sadly a lot of employees are trained poorly or just don’t care so a lot of time they end up soggy because they don’t shake the grease off the frys before they bag them

Right after I moved to the DC area, I took a job near a Five Guys. Not knowing what I was getting into, I ordered a cheeseburger, a hot dog, and a regular fries. That was more than 20 years ago, and I'm still working my way through it! Where I live now has both In-N-Out and Five Guys. I have a fondness for In-N-Out, being from Southern California, but I'm happy to settle for a Five Guys burger any day of the week. Great stuff!

What? The hot dogs are really good. Grilled on the flattop and more expensive because they're bigger than a standard hot dog. Toppings like grilled onions are great on it too.

I love my extra scoop of fries I might stop going to five Guy grill if they stop giving out extra scoop of fries that's the best part of eating five guys. "More french fries please"

I disagree on the hotdogs. Here in the UK finding beefdogs is very rare. So going to give guys for a hotdog/beefdog is a real treat.

Agreed, they are very beefy, and when they split and fry them on the griddle, they take on an even more lively texture and flavor. True, they are a terrible value, but they taste beefy and well prepared.

Only mistake I ever made about Five Guys was going there. I won’t ever make that mistake again.

I have been going to Five Guys since the 1990s and it is my favorite restaurant. Originally mine had fresh brewed Red Diamond sweet tea that was the perfect complement to their burgers, but they quit serving it because it was probably too much work. Five Guys also used to have decent older style coke dispensers but now they have fancy ones that have a million flavors. Unfortunately, the Coke tastes uniformly awful and I can't drink it. So now I just bring a water bottle when I go there because Five Guys no longer sells a beverage worth drinking. For a restaurant that touts its food quality, it is an amazing failure. My biggest recommendation is there is a HUGE difference between Five Guys locations. Five Guys isn't cheap so you don't want to come away feeling ripped off and disappointed. If the Five Guys you are going to makes you a good meal then go back. But if the Five Guys overcooks your burgers to small dried out tough black postage stamps or gives you a small handful of fries, then go to a different Five Guys because if you don't it is going to continue to happen. Once a Five Guys goes downhill it is gone. There is no corrective process.

The well done burger has nothing to do with food safety. The Murrell family is just a stickler for making well done burgers almost like an unofficial trademark. Another interesting note is that 5 Guys will never offer promotions, discounts, or coupons because they feel their product is good enough to be purchased at full price every time.

The fries thing is lies... the extra scoop isn’t extra you pay for it, it’s done like that so you feel like you’re getting a free scoop. The toppings aren’t free they’re included in the price

That’s simply false lol 1. The fries is an extra small scoop. Order little? Extra small scoop Order medium? Extra small scoop Order large? Extra small scoop 2. The toppings are free if you order a double cheeseburger you pay the same price as you would for a double cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, onion, pickles, fried onions, mushrooms, all the sauces, etc. Only topping that costs extra is bacon.

Going there in the first place. It's not just overpriced, it's mediocre to boot.

Last time I went to a 5 guys for 4 adults and 2 kids meals we spent over $100 which if you go to culvers, smash burger, or Freddie's you end up spending about 50 to 60 bucks. And it wasn't even good, the bread was all soggy as well

Same but we do now have frozen dogs now and bacon always is that’s just how bacon is made it was updated during Covid that’s why when we receive hot dogs now we should be taking them out of the case placing them on a metal sheet pan with a label of received date 80/20 ground chuck is also more expensive and the buns are more expensive per one than just about any the normal consumer would pay for in a store

Don't let them lie to you. Five Guys actually serve you less fries than what they actually claim: Small: 227 grams Medium: 411 grams Large: 587 grams You might get roughly half including your bag fries.

I disagree about the hot dogs...I think they're delicious.

I actually worked there and trust they’re still under charging. EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH. If fries are 5 minutes old they get tossed. Plus everything made to order

When a customer walks in and says he has a peanut allergy and they order food anyway.

I had a monthly meeting in a town about 30 minutes from my house. The place where we had the meeting was a few doors down from the Five Guys. I would always stop after my meeting and get a burger for me, and a plain junior burger for my dog! I’d get home and we’d eat our burgers together! My wonderful dog died last February, and I haven’t been to Five Guys since. It’s still too sad.

I would like it if they put the cheese on the burger while still on the grill, as you can see they put it on after the burger comes off. Not melty enough

I work at five guys, and we do put the cheese on the burger while on the grill. We always make sure its melted, and if it doesn't get melted on the grill, when it gets wrapped the heat of the burger will definitely melt it.

Mustard, onions, pickles, mushrooms. In a lettuce wrap. No I don't need to eat gluten free -- I just prefer lettuce over the bun. Oh, cheese and bacon, too.

Maybe it's just my local Five Guys, but for the service (always SLOWWWW) and quality it's not worth the money. My wife and I can very easily spend $30 and stand there waiting for a good 15 minutes, I could cook the burger faster than that at home, literally. The quality is great, but it's not $9 a burger great. If my wife wants Five Guys it better be tax return time or something.

1. Be creative, there are tons of different combos even excluding the secret menu! 2. Take advantage of the secret menu (especially the grilled cheeseburger!) 3. Not all locations have milkshakes. 4. There's no extra cost for asking for extra cheese or bacon.

I seen the thumbnail and the only reason I clicked on this video is because I just eaten at 5 guys and this is what happen. I saw a picture of a double cheeseburger so i ask for a double cheeseburger and ask if they could put grilled onions on top . Then I ask for a small fry & small Coke. They charged me $18.95 😂 😂 😂 😂

I love 5 but its expensive.

I went to one about a few days ago and it was $30 for lunch for just 2 of us. Since I knew that they give extra fries (thank u youtube!), just 1 serving of fries was ok. However, this is the 1st time ever that I've seen ALL the flavors in the Coco cola machine available! In every fast food place that I've been in, they generally have just about 12 flavors.

ummm you realize almost every fast food if you get a combo meal supersized you are paying between 12 and 15 dollars. so 30 dollars for 2 falls right in line. umm fast food is not cheap anbymore. and not fast most of the time. at least you are getting your moneys worth in FF's. ummm Hardees/Carls JR, and mcdonalds if you get the large cobo you are paying 12 to 15 dollars but with them their fries come in a narrow pinched box which amounts to about a small maybe a medium fry.

I went there the other day and at my location they ask if we want peanuts and they have these little bags to hand out

Not here in toronto Canada. Went by last Thursday and also had peanuts. And the cases are spiking with covid

It’s true I’m a manager I have been ordering them every week twice a week they have not been sending not one peanut case

I'll always finish any fries.

Mayo, Grilled Mushrooms, Bacon and A1 steak sauce

I've been going to Five Guys for years, and to this date, I still have never had a burger...lots of bacon cheese hot dogs, but not a burger. I think I'm going to change that this week! And their coffee shakes rock!

Umm.. I like the hot dogs. Most fast food places use mystery meat. They use Hebrew National. This channel is so dumb.

Your first mistake is ordering a burger at Five Guys.

The double grilled burger is the same as the Route 30 burger you can get at Rutter's. Not sure which came first.

Actually, when you compute the cost per ounce of just the meat you get with your burger, Five Guys is cheaper per ounce of beef than McDonalds. The McDonald's Big Mac has two patties but each of those patties only weighs 1.2 ounces before cooking. So, you are only getting 2.4 ounces of meat in a Big Mac. It's the same pattie they put in their standard burger. What you end up paying for is lots of bread.

True the 3.5-3.7 ounce/patty at 5 guys is worth it with 3.6 being the goal during prep

@@blueshiftredshift3424 And remember there are two patties in each standard burger, while the small has one patty. They are a much better burger than McDonalds. It's worth mentioning the patty is pure beef without the extra salt and beef flavor that McDonalds puts in their frozen burger patties. The Five Guys meat is never frozen.

just gonna say... I'VE HAD SEVERAL HOTDOGS from fiveguys and all of them have been AWESOME, COOK a better DOG yourself

KFC is better than five guys

I went to Five Guys once. Didn't realize their standard burger is a double - two meat patties. Sandwich, fries and drink came to $15.00. And it was not that good. Never again.
