"Alliance" - Yaaay! "Horde" - RRROOOOOAAAARRRRR!!!!!

the music in MoP was soooo good

I'm sick of people hating on this expansion just because it had pandas. This expansion had great color to its lands and a lot of good content.

Bruce Wayne Yeah....it was way better than WoD and had much more content. Pandaria was a beautiful land and some pandaren were really cool like Taran Zu or Chen

+HardGaining The storyline was actually pretty good if you ever actually did the content. We never fought a single Panda, and PvP is not canonical, so you can't say they're better fighters, nor was that ever even mentioned. As for making sense, it made perfect sense if you actually paid any attention. The Cataclysm cleared the mist surrounding the island. When the fight with Deathwing concluded, both forces sought this new uncovered land for themselves. Upon arriving, the hate we had for one another awakened the Sha, which are entities that feed off of hate and anger that were created by Y'shaarj a long time ago. We fight Sha of Fear in the first tier, which leads us into ToT. We learned the history of the Mogu who had been the slavers of Pandaren under tyrants such as Lei Shen. Lei Shen discoved Ra-den in the Mogushan Vaults, and used his power to build the army we see in Throne. After the conclusion of ToT, we learned the Klaxxi are servants of Y'shaarj, and when Garrosh unearths the Heart of Y'shaarj, they help him recover and protect it. The heart corrupted Garrosh and fed his anger and fear that the Alliance would eventually overtake the horde. This lead to SoO. That flows together more than Wrath did, that's for sure.

I agree with this guy. If they introduced another raid tier then hell yes I would've been dicks out for that, but soo dragged on long enough

this guy's voice is crazy

I miss this expansion; the quests, the leveling zones, the raids (ToT being the best), the dailies. It was perfect.

god damn I miss this man and his amazing presentations. Just not the same without his charismatic heart felt speeches.

Fucking loved this expantion! The zones, the music, the colours, the NPCs you fall in love and the stories! It was cool that the end game for this was the leading up to the iron horde but we all wish they did a bit more with Warlords. The mogu where an awesome race to fight against and the thunder king was a badass with a kick ass backstory to him and was fun faceing him and getting cool mounts and gear from the raid.

Honestly, Deathwing just looks like he's calmly flying around humming a song and is quite happy in the clip that they used of him. Didn't really come across as "the Destroyer".

Been playing since Vanilla... MOP and WOTLK were the best so far. BC was good when it came to the amount of content and difficulty, but the story was a train wreck.

because major characters appears, doesn't mean it is a great story. Illidan story in tbc was SOOOO trash, people didn't even know why they were killing him aside from him summoning demons. Kael'thas betrayal was.. meh. He just went power crazy, we killed him and then he reappeared. It wasn't even very well explained how Blood elves joined the horde, when you get to hellfire you can see some horde belve fans of kael'thas, then you get to Terokkar and some belves just don't follow him anymore in shattrath but i don't even know how or when it happened that horde belves decided to abandon kael'thas (IN-GAME) Archimonde was just a trashy boss in a trashy raid, there wasn't story there... Kil'jaeden was just another boss, you don't really see story in there, just a fantastic boss. MoP had Lot of world story: Destruction of Theramore, The purge of Dalaran, Orgrimmar invasion, Lot of interaction with many faction leaders (Tyrande, Varian, Anduin, Moira, Garrosh, Vol'jin, Lorthemar, Jaina, Baine), Mogu story was amazing, pandas had a good story like shadopan, Klaxxi, more old gods story.

Best expansion with lore and legendaries.

The dude knew how to introduce a new expac... absolute legend.

Missed Chris on the last BlizzCon... Best man ever to announce WoW Expansions

Chris Metzen was a guy who will make your boredom hyped! I like this guy alot, sadly he is not working in Blizzard anymore, but this video always give me chills!

I remember seeing this live stream and think "umm what?". When I come back and watch now I get goosebumps. Turned out it was one of the better expansions they have done.

Aw man. This reminds me I never gonna get to go to a Blizzcon with Metzen. The man knows how to work a crowd.

I love how the moment it shows the Temple of the Jade Serpent entrance, you can hear some of the audience who instantly figure out it's the Pandaren going nuts.

2 days until MoP is out, it almost feels like yesterday when this happened live on stage :O! Time goes way too fast!

Chris Metzen is the biggest hype man ever and we didn’t deserve him.

People just judged this expansion by it's cover. Turns out MOP was the best expansion so far.

This expansion was my first time raiding....Good times, good times.

Most beautiful design and theme of any expansions period!

My god. "Why we fight". Gotta love that foreshadowing, it has carried on all the way to the final patch of MOP.

Metzen tears up. I tear up.

Coming back years later to say we all joked it was gonna be all soft and cutesy and dumb, and it ended up being an expansion on the literal horrors of war, war crimes and atrocities beyond imagining. Truly wild.

For me this was best expansion. And im playing since vanilla

Gul 'dan You know what? In retrospect, I think you might be right. I had a good time playing the pvp in cata, especially since rated BGs were introduced. :)

I remember watching this live with my friends/family. The reason I do is because of the guy saying “I love you man.” Lots of good friends quit that expansion. Still have them on bnet in case they decide to come back. Sad times.

if they quit because of pandas, they are just plain stupid, like many of my friends who did the same. MoP was such a great expansion and I miss it everyday while i playing this cringefest Shadowlands or BFA or whatever they do nowadays.... also miss Metzen too.

I loved MoP.. It had tons to do and looked amazing. During its time which was very long i never once was bored or hated the content which cant be said for WOD its not even a year old yet and i want to leave it and move on to legion.

at the end, mop was one of the best expansion and the last one with a very good lore

I love how people keep saying WoW is a bad game, how it is ruined, how it was better in Vanilla, bla bla bla. Sure, Vanilla was pretty good, but just because the game has changed doesnt make it bad. I am looking forward to having a kickass martial arts panda and ruining a pretty land with our war.

The audience were not prepared for that. They did not understand first he wanted them to roar. Had Metzen started with saying horde, the audience would respond quietely. Also, when he says horde, do you really think all those screamers are horde players? Those are obviously alliance players too who are joining in just for the cheer excitment.

When I first heard of the new expansion I thought it was a joke :so

If you've played any of the previous Warcraft games, and followed WoW's story you would've know it was good, and not just straight forward. There's no other MMO that has ever even come close to WoW's subscriberbase, I want you to point out which MMO is better. The whole scroll of resurrection is just a perfect way to make more money. It doesn't destroy or ruin the game in any way as far as I can see; it just brings more people to the game. I can agree that the mechanics are simple, but not bad.

@ShadowCrashed81 I think what you fail to understand is that WoW started as a PvE game and PvP was just a tack-on

I'd say decent.. or okay in my opinion. And yes I saw it as a straight forward fantasy tale, aimed at young teenagers. Just because a game has the most subs doesn't make it the best, it's an indication but in this case it's wrong. WoW got popular and became the "go to" MMO for so many people. IMO Anarchy Online, Allods online, DC Universe are all better, for their own reasons. And the scroll is just a way to get people to return, and missing out the grind makes it more appealing. Quickfix much?

how is pandaland even a pvp driven xpack? recent 5.3 changes aren't so liked amongst pvp ranks

Ive played since BC, loved the game up until cataclysm, that killed the game for me, completely disappointed. But mists? This was literally the best expansion yet. I've probably had the funnest time playing mists of pandaria, they brought back the adventure to the game, and the fear of battle between the alliance and horde at any moment, while developing characters to make them seem twice as epic. Especially Lor'themar at Isle of thunder, and the last patch isnt even out. Im glad this existed

MoP was alright. WoD was a PvE mans dream. We never got something like that again.

I really enjoyed MoP, however I found SOO dragged on way too long and PVE scenarios were boring. But other then that, I found it a good expansion.
