Because right, this is the first time ever a story arc has been left unfinished for a couple of extensions ever in the history of WoW. I love Metzen, but the dickriding when BFA and even DF kept on adding on the Old Gods, Titans and the Void. Yeah, you can scrub SL for sure. But then again, we know Blizzard and especialy Metzen plan way ahead in advance, at the very least the main red string, to pretend they just scapped his work (because you dont like the current story/writting/or whatever) is insane cope and peak "source: dude trust me bro", when he could just be responsible for BFA (since he left in late 2016, BFA wouldve been fully written by then) Also, the man's been back for less than a year, i'm sure they got the expac ready for Beta in 6 months and a high quality cinematic done in less than a year. Jesus, do you people even think?

@@Obantrash In truth most people don't, you can see how many people are shocked and amazed that Blizzard is announcing 3 expansions in a row and treating this like some kind of crazy farseeing thing - when anyone that knows anything about MMO game development knows they're already at least that many expansions ahead internally. Or do people think the transition from Pandaria to Warlords to Legion (and then to BFA and Shadowlands) was all some kind of random chance? The storylines are planned out many years in advance of any actual coding, let alone announcements or trailers.

That's because for a presentation stream the focus is more on the stage personnel, not the audience microphones for ambience. All we heard on Stream was just low-loudness input on the mix board. It was just toggled down

Literally brings me to tears, the detail, the music, Anduins anguish… Thralls pained eyes as he looks at a man he cares for and respects brought down to such a low point. It’s just beautiful written, animated and acted. Love it!

I love how it looks like Anduin has PTSD. They showed it so well. He's just..broken.

Hopefully they are starting to realize that passion for the universe matters the most. Everything else can be figured out later. Looking forward to Anduin growing into a badass.

@@balls433 Yes and no. They have just made things easier to understand and the story is finally getting to a solid point. Leveling and endgame content will keep you pretty busy and all the new classes are really enjoyable. Mythic key runs are really addicting lol

This is one of if not the best cinematics. The detail on Anduin is amazing. Whoever did his voice hit it spot on.

It’s the same actor as before. Josh Keaton (the voice actor for Spider-Man in Spectacular Spider-Man) voices him

Blizzard phenomenon - the cooler the cinematic, the crappier the add-on. The budget is only enough for cinematics.

My Theory: Spirit broad embodying the heart of Azeroth calls out to Anduin/Thrall/Anyone who can listen, for them to save her from the Narubians who are planning a massive invasion. Anduin can't summon the light anymore, he's extinguished, Thrall is going to die, and when he calls to the Heavens to battle rez him it doesn't work....... until it does.... When Varian shows up. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

I was there....they didnt care that much. SoD reaction is being underplayed....it was all I heard people talking about after it was announced. I heard more about this sword and Asmon being trolled by blizz than any excitement for it.

he was controlled by jailer. He killed alot of his friends and once he broke semi free from the jailer he went into hiding.. this cinematic picks up during his time in hiding

Honestly the 2 last cinematics are the worst of all. There is a bit of emotion but ZERO action and ZERO hype. IMO the rating is : - Battle for Azeroth - Shadowlands - WOD - Cataclysm - WOTLK - Legion - BC - Vanilla - MOP - Dragonflight - The war within

DragonFlight cinematic is probably my least favorite but idk The War Within finally made me feel for these characters again which was a nice surprise. Love the ratings though for all the trailers! Thanks for sharing!

Oh look, they're copying Final Fantasy 14 again. Not only have we been to the heart of our planet - we have been to the heart of 2 different moons too. I recently started playing WoW = and seeing this has really turned me off from the game. Completely unoriginal, and what little I did of the Shadowlands, I could tell it was a very horrible rehash of our expansion Shadowbringers. Sigh....
