I know. As a state fan my family was excited for beating them but I told them they all lost their good players. State was horrible

Costello also looks like a QB on a Topps card from the 60’s I have no ability to side by side this but to me his body mannerisms and how his jersey looks on him I’d swear that was Johnny Unitas if he has a crew cut the search for a time machine should begin immediately.

KJ Costello is a gifted athlete and a really good QB who can make all of the NFL throws. His pocket awareness is good to see and he has natural qb instincts that allow him to play at a high level. He didn't play much at Stanford but when he did play he was awesome to look at. If he stays healthy and keeps this up he will be a hot commodity for some NFL team. Lawrence, Fields, Lance, Newman, Morgan, and now Costello can all go pro in 2021.

Dude you dont throw for a conference record in yards against blue chip players and the defending national champs EVER. This was a HISTORIC performance. The only teams on their schedule that can beat them are Alabama, UGA, A&M, and Auburn. I think they guaranteed lose to Alabama but it's close like in 2017 and 2014. They beat A&M the week before. Then they lose 1 to either Auburn or Georgia(I'll say they drop to UGA)

LSU got lucky. The Bulldogs left quite a few points on the field with dumb mistakes and miscues. Costello should have had over 700 yards and another touchdown or two.

im right here still chilling. We had 14 draft picks and 6 Free agents signed lol. 20 star players gone. Also our offensive coordinator (Signed w/ Panthers) and defensive coordinator (Signed w/ Baylor) signed with different teams after the season. Only 3 returning starters from last years season which were Terrance (WR), Deculus (OL) and Jacoby Stevens (S). I knew we were going to have a bad year but people dont enough about our team to know that, so im here explaining it to y'all. Because of our championship season we got alot of new commits and we should be pretty good again in 1-3 years but this season should be a shit show (predicting 4-6 at best). Im a LSU fan but at the same time im not completely stupid and say "back to back"... our team isn't even close to the team it was last year. New offense, new defense, new players... so ya thats about it. you should be pretty imformed now

SEC fans should keep in mind that Mike Leach's WSU Cougars lost a game to UCLA in 2019 in which they - the Cougars - had a 34-point lead LATE in the second half. Leach did a TERRIBLE job in coaching that game. UCLA was not a great team....they were only 4-7 in 2019. Had Leach run the ball just 2 or 3 more times more after he had the 34-point lead, they Bruins would have run out of time. But no, he had to keep passing. Worst coaching job in many years, IMHO.

Kinda started there really. Kentucky. Bob Stoops hired Mike Leach at Oklahoma because the only team Stoops hated to defend against in the SEC when he was DC at Florida, were the Wildcats. I always wanted Leach to come back to Oklahoma as the HC, even now.

1 on LSU D was out of position 3 times in this highlight. Two Touchdowns (9:18 and 15:50) and a bulk play (13:16) that led to 3 points. He redeemed himself with an interception that led to a TD but he still had 10 points that happened directly from his play. Had he been in better position one more time it could have changed the game.

Because coach O wasn’t a good coach. From 2016 to 2019 he did very good. But lsu was his only successful head coaching job. Failed every where else. He only did good at lsu because of the enormous amount of talent on the lsu team. With a good coach lsu would be elite every year just based on lsu always being fully loaded with some of the best talent in the country. Even in 2020 and 2021 they only got the amount of wins that they did because of the talent

So, he has it in him to make moves and coach up talent. But college fans are hard on coaches that don't win big every year, especially after a championship run. Lsu has always been an SEC powerhouse with good talent, but like I said, fans can be unforgiving. I hope the best for Ogeron, because he seems like a genuinely decent guy.

But they've also had a top 5 or top 10 recruiting class every year, so the guys on that roster are talented and have no excuse for getting skunked by an unranked Mississippi State team at home. MSU Meridian should have a district two team. I graduated from MSU Meridian. I have had a head injury, so I shouldn't play the football, but we need athletics here in Meridian. There's a gym across the street at the community college. I tricked Dr. Toby Bates into sniffing markers in class. I gave him scented Expos like my grandma used when she taught 3rd grade.

Leach and the Big12 Air raid gurus have been doing all their shit with non SEC talent. It's a strategy meant to offset the Blue Blood trenches; take it to the perimeter. Give them credit for holding up 3 and 1/12 quarters, people calling LSU mediocre; lets see the rest of the Conf hold up to this Miss State offense. AND its tailor made to a fucked up offseason, Leach installs the Off in 3 days.

See what you think..... This leadership had months to prepare for this first game, this season and they didn't do their job. O is being paid millions and didn't do his job. SMH There is never an excuse for this. You never have and never will see a Saban team unprepared. They looked like the Marines Saturday while LSU looked like ROTC high schoolers. This 100% lack of leadership. It had little or nothing to do with the new players. It now becomes more than obvious that Joe Brady was the brain power, the wisdom behind last years offense. Period. The loss to MSST state uncovers the truth. This is not a loss due to the young players, it’s a loss due to the gross lack of elite or even good leadership. Just think if LSU would have score just 2 TDs off all those 3 and out punting sets. We would have won. This loss was completely avoidable and is very far reaching in the negative. The fall out will be lasting and great. Scott, why weren’t you doing your job by making sure coach O was assuring that there was a fitting game plan for a first time starting QB? HOW in the world was there no oversight to this? People that make $10 per hour are expected to perform or lose their job. SMH at this gross negligence, this gross lack of leadership. To have that long to prepare for the first game of the year, knowing you had a new QB, and still come out like that, is beyond telling. What does it tell us? Coach O used LSU money to buy that team of coaches and the national championship in 2019. Now that those leaders are gone and it’s back on O, we see the shallowness, the great lack of substance and wisdom. LSU is anything but a powerhouse program that recruits can come to with confidence that that they will be in contention for the national championship year in and year out. Recruiting will greatly suffer. Look for decommits and elite players LSU was courting to go elsewhere. Elite players know they can go to elite, consistent programs with no risk of flop, down years and will not choose LSU. 2019 was a fluke, an anomaly and until we get honest about this, we shall delay building a true foundation which is necessary for true, lasting success. Jamar Chase and the others who opted out saw the writing on the wall. Myles Brennan should have been afforded the first half as the starter with the contingency that he was going to have to be moving the ball, scoring, and having spark. The game plan was horrific and there was no correcting the mistakes which shows extreme lack of leadership. LSU’s coaching is now mediocre at best and that game pulled the cover off such a fact. These are facts and if they aren’t talked about, brought into the open, we delay real success, sustained success characteristic of an elite program. Elite programs are only produced by elite, mature leaders and LSU currently lacks such. Anyone living in reality who watched the first quarter of the MSST game knew LSU’s season was over and that the lack of leadership hurt the current players and will disqualify LSU from having elite recruiting classes. A team is nothing without a potent, scoring offense and even average leadership knows that.
